just called apple customer service just now. took nearly 2 weeks for the ipod to arrive malaysia. darn fu**ing long time. kerja main main ka.

5 working days for apple singapore to get the money from rhb bank malaysia.
2 working days for engraving
5 working days to ship from china

feel really disappointed. but what can i do. i need the engraving. really a bad first time impression for me to buy from apple store. even my order from play asia only took 4 days to arrive in kl even if i use free shipping.

that's mean my wedding anniversary gift to my wife will only be arrive after we celebrate the anniversary.

wanna ask here, only online store giving free engraving? if we purchase at apple store also don't have free engraving?

how about other Mac product like macbook. How long arrive when order online ?

i dont think they have that facility. otherwise, i think everybody will have an engraved ipod.

5 days for Singapore company to clear money from a Malaysian bank is necessary. Why don't you just use a credit card and save that 5 days? The shipping time is also normal AFAIK.

i cannot change the payment method because i already pay the money. because i assume that they will check their rhb bank online for any payment. i didn't know that they actually need to transfer the money from rhb bank malaysia to s'pore bank account. i only use credit card for emergency cases. and i dont consider as buying a anniversary gift as an emergency case. shipping time should be shorter since they are using courier service right? i think they are using ordinary mail. AFAIK, from shenzen to shah alam will only took about 3 days.

well the online store mention it will be ship out within 24hours
early novem i purchase my engraved ipod touch at sg online store and its only takes 5 days to arrive
and my touch is SHIPPED OUT within 24 hours
and btw im using my mum maybank credit card to purchase
and during the shipping process
my mum credit card didnt charge the touch prices until my bro in sg received it parcel
so i think the customer service might give wrong info to u
but this is the situation i bought my ipod from sg online store
cause previous post somebody mention that malaysia too many fraud
so i think it is ALSO POSSIBLE 5 working days to the money from RHB MALAYSIA

there wont be any free engrave in apple store
this is because the ipod products nowadays is assembly at china
so when we order engraved product they usually straight engrave and assembly at china and then send to the location

We dont have apple store in malaysia only apple resellers,even if we did have apple store here the engraving is only available from apple online store. Maybe you can try a jewelry store perhaps?

it appears that the delay is slightly longer due to the bank transfer?

bear in mind
if u engrave outside the online store
it will void ur warranty

Yes.. u can... i ordered my mbp with my mom cc.. coz mine credit limit only 5k..

There is no edu discount for ipod.
