actually if you were to get your ipod engraved by apple and they were to scratch it on purpose you cant claim it under warranty too, hehe sneaky apple.

(iii) Cosmetic damage to the Covered Equipment. If the defect is cosmetic, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken
plastic on ports, and does not otherwise affect its functionality or materially impair your use;

PS: guys apple store can only grant you edu discounts based on purchase of one mac per year,they will get all your details and cc info. Plus you can get 2 softwares or cinema displays per year under edu

Hmm.. Since Macbooks are now aluminium, why don't Apple offer engraving for it? Could even deter theft!

as far as i know thieves wont really have the time to see whether the laptop has engravings or not before they steal it.. they see an apple laptop they steal it.. simple.

Why bother putting your name on anything for that matter? The point is, they will have a hard time trying to sell it. Simple.

It just shows how inconsiderate you are for supporting crime. Btw, it says hard time selling, not hard time buying. If you ask me, I will have a hard time sleeping if I sell something I stole for even just RM1.

Yay~! I finally got my macbook as well.
First time hands on mac after 10 years of PC life.
Very exciting~!!

Previously got someone did offer me a black macbook but I refuse to have it coz I don't wish to support them to steal more.
I don't wish one day I have to buy back a macbook from a theft.
