Its the same link as where you download 1.01.01 version.

But they just change the file to 1.01.02. Its a small update mainly for large hardisk user.

err..I mean including the harddrive, optical audio cable + converter + Digital Coaxial cable (cos my HTS only accepts this socket for digital)
*
emm, let me make an estimation:

1) WDTV = RM400
2) 1TGb hardisk = RM350
3) Converter = RM200
4) Optical + digital coaxial cable = RM50

Total cost = RM1,000

bought these yesterday:

wdtv = rm380 thundermatch 4th floor (8 pieces left)
toslink = rm40 allIT 3rd floor
1tb maxtor = $345 viewnet

updated to latest firmware 1.01.02

tested on 42pv80 + 6 year old yamaha avr
avr detected dd/dts without problem

tested:
007.From.Russia.With.Love.1963.720p.BluRay.x264-HANGOVER.mkv
pq flawless, audio pretty good but center heavy.

dark knight 1080p
before firmware update, pq unviewable. after update, flawless

having problem with:
Chungking Express (1994) 720p.BluRay.DTS.x264-ESiR.mkv
pq awesome but audio stuttering every 20sec but view on com, everything is ok. will test using laptop to see whether it's the avr or the wdtv's fault.
same goes with:
blade runner 1080p hddvdrip

laugh.gif ddkl, darn funny. Optical behaves just like HDMI. IMHO, it is either you get the signal or not only.

my wd tv. when i push my remote left right up down, i alway get scrolling effect. if i push up than up it goes for several time, if down same thing happened. this happened when i put it in horizontal mode.

i had to put my wd tv in vertical mode to avoid this flaw to happened.

is it a faulty unit or interference of other remote since i got lots of remote for my AV system.

Excerpt taken from the youtube video posted above -

And the number no.1 biggest mistake home theatre owners made is believing that a $300 dollar cable (especially when carrying a digital signal) is significantly better than a $30 cable. Lets get something straight, most big box electronic stores make their profits on high price cables that cost less than a dollar or two to manufacture. The profit margins are extraordinary. Of course, they want you to believe that an expensive cable is gonna sound like the orchestras is playing in the room. Ultimately if you were to buy overpriced cables, the cables will be better than the cables they used in the studio to record the soundtrack in the first place. So dont be taken by these claims. Money spend elsewhere will make far more of a difference. Dont spend anymore than $30 or so on any standard cables.

Wah! liddat say, people ma no need to sell elite cables liao.......?!?? tongue.gif
