Tried the previous faulty 1080p Dark knight, now working super fine.

But now new mkv Eagle eye 1080p pixelating. So not 100% solved.

Seagate (no suprise) just announce a new HD Media Player, dubbed the FreeAgent...similalrly price, but the docking station is way too cool...almost paid for a WD...but seeing this on the news

for queen u can actually click on the audio to choose which audio u want...

so when u go downloading u see dts as codec .. u know cannot play unless u have optical out with dts amp.. others should be able (this same goes for the hdx1000 and popcorn)

but again dvico 6500a . semua boleh step down to stereo...normal rca jack...

Guys, found out in the avforum, the limitation of WDTV is ability to playback high ReFrame rate. Anything more than 6 RFs, it will caused pixelated. Maybe the safest is to download 720p MKV unless newer firmware is able to address this problem!!!!

This is seriously the limitation of the WDTV media player.

Description: Selects the maximum number of reference frames that can be used. Referenced frames are frames that refer to other frames (eg. if both frames are similar). Having a high referenced frame will improve quality but slow up encoding. For typical content, a reference frame of 3 to 5 is recommended. For content with a lot of repetition (eg. animation), a reference frame of 8 to 10 can be used. If a large number of reference frames is selected, then the "Mixed References" options should also be selected to allow x264 greater control (see "Analysis Options" section).

this might be why some of those who were into anime might not like this box as much as others. Seems like anything with a higher than usual number of reference frames, and this thing has a hard time processing.

BUT the real problem is only after we download we will be able to know the ReFrames rate. We cant use MediaInfo before finish downloading the whole file! How I wish the uploaders can provide this video info.

It is best to avoid 1920x1080p animations. 1920x800p should have no problem if you wanna download 1080p movies.

Sure can...you can have as many subs as you wish and you can turn them off too!

I think you don't have to download the all the parts...just download 1 parts and unrar it but you need to sellected the optiion in winrar that to allow it to unrar partial files.  Then you can try out the files to see it plays or not and at the same time check the quality.

i was wondering bout e-sata transfer rate for a while, was guessing it can go up to 70 Mbytes/s till i read ur post..just a little shy of the actual performance...  all my Ext. Buffalos can max 30MB/s only on USB2, still quite fast for me...

this vantech kinda interesting product.. too bad it can hold only 1 HDD at a time.. the problem is that u need a proper storage to keep ur xtra HDDs if u only have 1 dock... but still one to be considered.
