I have some idea during last weekend, i'm using BC bedding and i used to clean & picking up Jingle and Jasper's poo and wet bedding everyday to avoid them step on their poo and for hygen purpose. I still need to picking up those bedding from their food tray as when they chasing each other around or pop corning, those bedding will fall into their food tray.

This cleaning job taking 1 hr per day and recently i just come out wt an idea like "why dont i put the floor matt on top of the bedding leh?" So i have trying it and the result is quite good. Now days, i dont really need to pick update the wet bedding and poo as the poo will drop under the floor matt and the wet bedding is also under the floor matt. Food tray is now only food but no bedding anymore.

I think it is better for others gp's owner that using wood pines bedding as it can avoid the bedding to fly around. icon_rolleyes.gif

Updated some picture of Jasper here as well.

Actually depends on the individual lah smile.gif I personally like breeder celect coz its rolled up. Wood shavings... well shavings lah xD in terms of absorbing, i think both do the job just fine.. but with BC i dunno..... it just doesnt smell as bad as shavings. Me and my hubby did a test with hamsters before, with shavings the smell can smell a bit more compared to BC. In terms of cost, of coz shavings is cheaper than BC >< so you be the judge laugh.gif

It depends on how your use la, some ppl like to use recycle paper bedding, some like wood base bedding, I personally will go for wood base if my pet is direct contact with bedding. If your small pet is not direct contact with bedding, you can use either one with no problem. I personally felt that recycle bedding once it get wet, become very messy, i hate that!

BC is expensive lah.....i'm using a large pack (35 litre) per mth and i bought it for rm90 per pack from fluffs

SugarCoatedCandy, yeah....expensive also need to buy....and i'm having the big cage also...consume quite a lots every month.... cry.gif actually i was decided to get a big wired cage for them de at least no need to spend so much on the bedding...but my hubby insist want to buy zoozone2 coz he think this is more safely for them. No choice lah, always the person who make the payment have to rights to make the final decision since both of us also want our pigs stay health and happy.

Update some photos when i cleaning their cage today....they seems so boring in the temporary wired cage while waiting for me.... tongue.gif

Thanks Colin, the short hair (brown&white) is female and her name is Jingle. She was 8 mths old now (DOB:6th Jun08). Another light brown is Jasper (Male) and he was about 6 mths old (if not mistaken, as i bought him from Pet Safari on end of Oct and when i bring her to check up, Dr.Jenny was telling me that he was about 2 mths at that time).

Jasper was Sheltie and Jingle was short hair.

Hi Limie, yeah...the growth so fast and now days taking Chin's alfalfa and Timothy even growth faster and bigger. Taking so many difference variances of food everyday like both alfalfa and timothy hay, vegs and fruits, pallete and sometimes got treats from me also Hay cake.....hehehehhe..

yeah, both of them really a lovely couple and they will look for each other if i separate them into different cages.
btw, when u want to get a male for all your ladies ah? Try to check it out at pet safari and see.....

Last night I let my GPs out from cage for floor time...and they walk like a little duck cos the floor is too slippery for them...just a while cos afraid it might hurt their feets.Anyway they both walk in a line like a choo choo train...and walk into kitchen and walk out to living area again....they also afraid of dark too...so cute.

How come we hold them one at a time and one is more friendly to the other...Bugsy very friendly to me and my housemates but bubble....even me as her master also jump and hide when see me unless i got food in hand...then she will come near and smell my hand....
