QUOTE(Dark Twilight @ Nov 19 2008, 08:57 PM) my guinea pig go to the toilet but dont pee and poop wan? when they pee n poop only at the corner not in the toilet...? You can use some bedding to soak the pee, and place in your pee pan. Your can use urine stone remover to wash your cage corner. Or else where your GP smell it, he will go back there. |

d-hanz, Beside putting rubber mat base, you need to feed hay to your GP, feeding a whole carrot seem like a lot.

QUOTE(Doraemon11 @ Dec 12 2008, 10:39 AM) OMG... Yes it is big difference from chinchilla. There is a reason. RM25-85, wat a big price diff wit chinchilla My fren looking for chinchilla.. however myself fancy with gp... especially those long long and silky silky fur 1 Will them be so smelly?? Added on December 12, 2008, 12:06 pm QUOTE(ifeel100 @ Dec 11 2008, 10:47 PM) Yaya, agree w/ Chincillas Glad to hear your GP is eating lot of hay, timothy + alfalfa is very very basic need of combination of feeding hay to your GP. You can get some Bermuda or orchard grass as well, they will enjoy the variety of hay and eat even more, eat more = healthy disgestive system = healthy GP! My both gp superb love ur hay, they can chew & eat all of them & w/out any leftover on next day They will eat leaves 1st, then chew the hays later (for supper I guess, haha~) N I cn see their fur was getting better & nice too. My abby was brought at C4, she used 2 looks thinny & fur quality was so-so only. Bt now she growing better & fur texture even cn compare 2 my sheltie This post has been edited by Chinchillas: Dec 12 2008, 12:06 PM |

QUOTE(carolhyf @ Dec 16 2008, 12:10 AM) Hello, Don't clean the cage for 10days. Let the mom handle the babies, you need to take care of the mom's diet, the rest you have to leave to her. Welcome Xueki to the forum..... Long time did not login coz very buzy in my work.....and.....i just confirm that Jingle is pregnant.....i'm very nervous....happy...scarly and.......dunno how to describe my mood. i do some online study regarding pregnant sow...some said need to separate them but some said is ok.....can any master teach me what should i do ah? Both of them are use to stay together in door and i still own another weird cage and can put Jasper there and next to Jingle so that they could smell each other (as Sifu Jason advice) but....just wonder after Jingle delivered, should i clean the cage or just leave the blood there? i know still not the time yet.....but i'm super worried |

You can also mix other grass that available in the market, like orchard grass and bermuda grass, as long as it fresh and great smelling. Timothy hay always is the best choise. By mixing variety of grass, you are encourage your GP consume more grass that in return bring good health to your GP in over all. Too many good thing is happening just by providing your GP with a handful of fresh hay each day.
