hollow tiles, plaster chipped everywhere, no power @ some of the 15A points, leaking piping, incorrect sloping of the kithcen floor, gaps and holes @ window/door frame plaster, no water at some of the bathrooms, no water at kitchen tap despite direct connection, cement marks everywhere on the porch/patio/gutter, etc...

dunno if all lighting points got power or not

not sure about other houses/phases. i will put it as one of my complaints.

for the bathrooms/toilets, they use flimsy aluminum louvres for ventilation. on the first day, i&p staff had the cheek to ask one of the customers to remove the louvres and close it with brickworks.

another owner of different phase, came back home one day only to find his bedroom was flooded from faulty piping.

my iltizam III neighbour found some major defects too.

rude maintence staff just add salt to the wound. don't want to honour warranty for cracks in living room front wall, because reno rear kitchen wall.

sigh... what a way to start 2014

what's the difference between complaint form VS customer inspection form which need to be submitted within 14 days after vp?

that's fittings check. already done on the first day. the staff kinda rushed thru the process. and only 1 copy available. i had to tell them to slow down to allow me to check the quantity.

ok will do. will flood the bathrooms this saturday. hopefully can record all defects this weekend and get it over with. as a first home owner and every bit of income poured into purchasing this house, i find the frustration is too overwhelming.

they said "not covered under warranty coz this is normal"

6 out of 26 15A power points got no power. haven't checked lighting points. can i say all lighting points got no power?

today i checked my upstairs bathrooms' waterproofing/piping. all failed

one more thing, outswing door (hinge on the outside), can easily be blown shut by the wind. whilst u can use door wedge with inswing doors

r u sure it's laminated flooring? the spec says 'solid engineered timber flooring'. i've never owned a house with timber flooring so i don't how it's like. the i&p guy says it's normal for it to krik2 sound n floating. if what they've given us is really just laminated flooring, then i think we can comment that in the customer inspection form.

ya lor... better now. i only have tomorrow to capture all defects. and so far i've only gone through bathrooms, and half of living room. they are so many defects (including minor/cosmetic) that i don't think 2 weeks is enough.

what's the difference between "Customer Inspection Form" vs "Complaint Form" ?

the customer inspection form must be submitted within 14 days after receipt of keys

during your time, what forms did they give u?

i received 3 forms.

1) fittings checklist (checked together with inp staff on the same day)

2) customer inspection form (4 pages of normal A4 paper)

3) complaint form (with carbon copy pages)

to check waterproofing; close the drain, open the water tap, let the water flood the entire bathroom floor. i only let it reach 1cm deep at the highest point. then wait maybe 30 minutes or 1 hour.

to check piping; open the drain, open the water tap, let the water flows for maybe 1 hour or until u r satisfied.

so far points i want to highlight:

- no waterproofing
- leaky piping
- a missing fan point (spec 7, found 6)
- power points not functioning
- rccb tripping
- wall/plaster cracks
- poor tiling job (gaps, hollow, broken, cracked)
- poor paintjob
