Got my Gainward 4850 GS from Cex yesterday!

39 degrees idle at night, 41 degrees during day time.

Average 53 degrees when playing RA3 on maximum graphics and 1280 X 1024 reso.

I am loving it

PS: Casing is left open and lie down on the table due to the enormous size of the GC. Currently my proc heatsink is standing on top of the proc, not skrued on.

Hey dudes and dudettes. It`s me again. I have a quick question for y`all... I`m looking for a mobo to match my 4850 GS (yes, that`s right, i went to the dealer and put my foot down so now i get to be upgraded from GW 4850 non GS to GS version).

I`m not trying to do Crossfire, and it has to be with DDR2, since i heard that DDR3 is not much of an improvement but with big difference in price. Oh yeah... and i have a C2D E7300.

if its me..i wouldnt mind to get myself a p45 chipset mobo..

P35 or P45 depending on budget. Or if you want something new, but not into overclocking, can opt for the lite P45 (Asus has them) without the CFX, or the P43.

Err, as you can see I don't do hardcore OC, only some light OC from 3GHz to 3.6GHz that's all. (More like being limited by the P43 chipset ._.). Frankly I kinda regret it lol, go for P45 or P35.

okay here we go,i ady recover from our probo,

this is my step
1.uninstall all ati driver using your uninstaller 2008(not using control panel)
2.clean data using cc cleaner
3.reboot into safe mode
4.run driver cleaner pro,clean all ati driver
5.reboot back,run cc cleaner,if have tune up utilities,use tune up 1 click
6.install back driver 8.10(i dun try yet tis kind of method for driver 8.11)
7.reboot.

dunno coz i use HD4870..
but from thread version 1 they do post they temp..around 40 to 50 on idle(depends on ambient temp) and 60 to 70 on load(also depends on ambient temp)

I bought a Gainward 4870x2 2gb ddr5 for my friend........ I'd tried on his pc, all games runs very smoothly and no lagg at all high configuration setting! LOve it very much and hope to get 1 Gainward 4870x2 if i got money! GAINWARD THE BEST FOR 4870x2!!!!
