Just LOL at him, reuben.

@kalambong.
IF ARPANET for Malaysia is FROM US, do you think we will get a ping of 20ms? Please get your source right.

You have no idea that tm.net.my name it as arpanet.

IP 218.208.x.x is still assigned non portable

Added on November 5, 2008, 11:02 pm

But the user assigned with Portable can download without problems? How to explain that?
*
It's a coincidence.

When TM applies to APNIC for IP blocks, they ask for either portable or non-portable space. They are a large national ISP, so whether they get portable or non-portable doesn't make much difference in this context.

At one point they applied for block X, and ticked the box to request portable space. They put block X into service and configured their routers to handle it.

Later they applied for block Y, and did not tick the box to request portable space. They put block Y into service and configured their routers to handle it.

Block X and block Y were configured at different times, probably by different people, and probably on different equipment. All these factors (time, staff, equipment) may be significant to whether or not block X performs better than block Y. The portability of the allocation block is a red herring and has nothing to do with anything.

I think of something... Once you download more than 3GB, they will start to cap you under these IPs.

I just found out i also have the same problem.........................

This is against our rights as consumers. People lets do something by complaining to MCMC. Please join me! The more people complain, the more they can do about it.

if we keep thinking we can bypass this, TM will find other ways and we need even more solutions, the best way is complain and get them in trouble

It doesn't matter (mis)informed posts or pure guesswork. Fact is it will mentioned that your IP address 58.27.105.130 is currently downloading a file. That ip does not belongs to me and i'm not currently downloading any file. And i've checked those that do not have this problem willl have the status ALLOCATED PORTABLE.

Have you heard... CORRELATION DOES NOT IMPLY CAUSATION. You can find patterns anywhere if you look hard enough for it. If I sneeze while you jump, does that mean my sneeze happened due to your jump? Think about it wink.gif Anyway, portable/non-portable allocations are described on the APNIC website, so don't take our word - convince yourself.

Your Rapidshare problems are half to do with TMNet's proxy (as browsers come from a small pool of IP addresses) and half to do with Rapidshare's policies (disallowing multiple clients from the same IP). Tough luck.

Mediafire download system (for non-premium user) is like this, once the user click the download link, mediafire will store your browser (cache or w/e) so that you can only download it once.

I don't know how long do you have to wait till you can you download the file back after it's been clicked. However, if you want to download the file back, just simply use another browser if the one your using doesn't work.

PS: I don't know if clearing all your cache will overcome that stupid mediafire looping, why not try? smile.gif

Can anyone confirm they can download from rapidshare? I got this error when tried downloading. Reset coupled of times and it's still same:

The download session has expired. Please click here to start the download again.

Possible reasons:

* The download takes to long to be saved.
* For this download, in the background your Internet Service Provider has assigned a new IP address. If you are for example an AOL customer, or use a similar Service Provider, please try to use a different browser.

If this problem persists to exist, you may want to purchase a Premium Account. As Premium users are not checked against their IP address, this problem will not occur. Or your internet connection is too slow to download the complete file within the session time.

We all know that our 58.27 IP changes with no time right? sad.gif

I'm making use of it to download from rapidshare. smile.gif

So, I make sure it was late midnight to do this. brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

I go to rapidshare, download 1st file.
Then I try to download the second file from rapidshare. I kept on refreshing the ip to make sure it change, then i click free user.
Test my luck.

So, now, I end up with 2 downloads simultaneously.
