Haha. Why does everyone dislike Symbian? It has the largest market share and thus should have more apps. Plus Win Mobile 6.5 or 7 isn't coming out anytime and Samsung needs a replacement soon
*
simply because we love how easy to use a windows mobile , nothing related to winmo 6.5 or 7 by the way...winmo6.5 will be released in Q3-Q4,

im a symbian user too, they bad in organizing contacts and messaging, i dont hate symbian, just winmobile already an all in 1 phone instead of enhancing it with additional apps. i guess ur phone are probably for games and movie entertainment , try intergrate winmo into ur business tasks it really helps.

just asking you a simple question, more apps...what kind of apps did you need? from what i see most of the apps are similar to what in symbian and winmobile

not that we dislike symbian, but Win Mo is more preferable....tats all..
if only for multimedia usage,ya,symbian is sufficient...
if u need to use it for task managing n daily planning stuff,of coz Win Mo wins..

Hi all..

Need u guys to guide me what to do when i'm facing this problem. I've been trying to sign in to my windows live messenger with Omnia. But everytime i signed in, all my contacts in msn were shown as offline. Non online contacts. Then i checked with computer, sign in with that, there's a bunch of them online. Why is that so? But when i signed in using my fren's id, no problem at all. Can see there's some online contacts.

Well, been using Symbian for quite some time before switching to WM6.1Pro. For me, Symbian is sluggish and hangs a lot. rolleyes.gif
My friend bought an E71 and after couple of months, it started to hang shakehead.gif
Symbian has it pros and cons and same goes for WM.
Like lhongwuh said, its matter of preferability. And at the moment, I prefer WM. biggrin.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I cant seem to use the GPS function with Google Maps, cant find satellites.

Do you guys know any setting to fix this.

If I used the A-GPS function how much data will be charged ?

Guys,
u all should try Resco Contact Manager now!
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/contactmanager/
It's still in beta..so its free..

well i give u quick summary on this contact manager..
- faster than iContact, Fun Contact & the slowest one Samsung Contact tongue.gif
- a lof of features (statistic, card viewer, face view, export contact, hide sim contact etc)
- well integrated (sms history & can replace the ugly Samsung dialer)
- user friendly (finger touch optimized)
- nice interface (again better than Samsung one tongue.gif)

Few things they need to improve:
- they should provide their own contact editor instead of using windows mobile one..
- also provide interface to directly send sms to the contact
since they already have SMS history

Ok, enjoy..smile.gif

basically dont expect much from the LED flash comes wf OMNIA. the optimum distance of the LED Flash is up to about 1m-1.5m only.. try to change the setting for different purpose or environment.. you can also use the preset scenes to assist "SCN"... in dark environment, increase the ISO #, disable flash, steady hand/tripod, etc etc.. all these helps to capture better photo in dark environment. have to admit that OMNIA's camera is good but not the best.. haha...

^.^
