 How to stop binging?, stress = binge :(

I got a problem with me. Whenever I feel stress (eg like exam is coming) I will keep on binging (eat a lot without stoping and emotionally unstable). anyone can provide me a solution with that?? I feel sick to be that "crazy" and yet I dont know how to put a stop!!! HelP!!!! icon_question.gif Now I am studying in university, so exam is a MUST.... hence, because of binging, I gained more than 10 kg in few months..... PLS help me.. I am a girl, and I look really ugly with such a fat body, I want a solution pls.... all my pants cannot be wore anymore cry.gif

you can try chewing on chewing gums or eating a mint flavor sweet..
i think it helps... ^^

Why feel strees = cause lack of early preparation before exam.... if you've prepared earlier... then you'll feel confident and you'll be ready for any obstacles awaiting.

Your saying : I feel stress because of exam.. Real cause, I'm lazy and dun wanna study for it... watch TV better
=> Permanent solution : try change ur habit... learn to enjoy studies a little bit... you'll find it easy to learn if you actually pay attention to it... and understand the process... Studies is NOT about dead memorising... its about understand how things work!!


Ways to lose stress:
i) Study!! Dun be slack! Study 40 minutes... Go walk around the house.. drink some water.. hop around the house.. then continue studying... Don sit there and study NON-STOP for 10 hours...u'll be BRAIN DEAD and ur brain wont keep anything in it!

ii) Dont waste your time!! especially when exam is near.. Dont go cook this or that.. don go fren house to play / study together. DONT GO SHOPPING! Dont DAY DREAM! More time = More time studying = more confident and ready for exam

iii) [not advisable thing] many say that masturbation/sexual intercourse reduces stress... not sure that works a not... but LOL! It might in the term of pleasure. Depends on individuals smile.gif


If you have eating disorder when stress comes.. why not DONT STORE so much food in ur house!!!! An amount that is sufficient to survive is good enough smile.gif

Stress is in the mind really. Just take deep breaths, relax and go do something enjoyable, watch a movie, take a walk, chat wif bf etc.....just don't put more food in your mouth! sweat.gif

go out with ur frens n do sumthing that can make u happy n forget about ur prob n stress..do wat u want to do n dont push-up ur mind to do sumthing that u feel dislike..
sumtime see the water fall,forest o sea to remove the stress..when u wake up from ur sleep look the tree o sumthing that in green color..

hmm eating can actually reduces someone's stress.
like me, i love to eat when i'm having stress. hahahaha.. but after exams i'll go exercise la.. too fat not good.. T_______T
TS, you can try to eat chewing gum..
but dont eat too much cuz later ur face become big.. the muscles getting bigger and bigger.. tongue.gif
or, try buying those LOW FAT snacks.. might help i guess.. smile.gif

I suggest you to do sports; dance, or anything for about 2 hours..

it really helps a lot in reducing stress; don't overdo cause it may makes you feel tired, just enjoy and let your body sweat; then take a warm bath and study.. you'll feel much more easy to understand because your brain cell is active

or prevent urself from gettin stressed
or just don t keep junk in the house

or wait 10 mins b4 u open those packet of chips ... n the feeling will subside..

nah. try leaving the assignments aside first. then exercise like jogging, skipping rope etc. just get yourself some entertainment.

eat something that makes your stomach full and taste like sh1t..that way after eating while u wont have the apetite to eat anymore

limit your pocket money...
only bring rm20 everyday...
ask your friends to keep your money for you while you guys go out. The extra money is only for emergency use

Well babe, I have the same problem as you.
Mines worse, it takes place when I am stress, sad and happy as well.
So yeah. My doctor recommended me to try on something that could just tickle my tastebud.
Say for example, I will suck on lolipops or candys whenever I am stressed or upset.
It would do you better rather than tucking into tons of chips, cookies and etc.

Do try this method and I certainly hope it helps smile.gif

i gained 10kg plus after i started working! when i was in college my income was not that stable, and i walked to school and eat only when ppl bring me out (can't cook at home) and lazy to walk so far just to buy food
