It is very difficult to put on 10kg of muscle through swimming alone
You gotta be more detailed with your diet, it'll be easier for others to crique and advice u that way
Weight gainers arent really necessary, they're pretty much protein shakes with way more calories, might as well opt for whey and get in the calories through natural food

Gaining weight this method would work, yes. And your conditioning will be phenomenal by the time you're done.

But you're looking to consume about 4000 calories a day if you hope to gain weight this way.

want to lose weight but end up gaining weight

4kg including muscle and fat i assume

77.7kg- 28% body fat

You can eat anything, that you feel will be able to help you sustain your energy levels towards the entire workout.

Personally, my pre-workout food is a whole plate of rice, 2 drumsticks, 2 fried eggs and I'll usually chug down a oats+protein shake 30 minutes before training. And when I'm done with my main workout and supplementary workout, I'll take a bar of Snickers (just a habit) and finish off.

My training does take about 2.30-3 hours, so I'll need as much calories as I can possibly get.

after my last gym session which was last saturday (accompanied by personal trainer - 2nd session of complimentary after joined gym), i feel so painful (ache) esp at muscle area my shoulder and chest... (maybe the trainer push me too hard...).. until now still pain a bit...

so, my question... do i need to stop a while and wait until the pain/ache gone then continue with the workout or is it ok to continue even the pain/ache still there?

tq.

Maybe you should train your legs, avoid shoulder and chest workout. Leg press, squats, calf raises etc etc.

Bro..no pain..no gain..

If you can still move the area that hurts, you should continue with the workout. But with slightly lesser weight..

I think its better if TictacToe show us his training plans first, so that it would be more clear. Do you have anything planned out? You already swimming 3 times a week, now you're adding in weight training at the gym. I hope you're not overtraining and eating enough calories to cater to all your activities. If the previous gym session focus on shoulders and chest, you should not target the same area in the next gym session so as to avoid overtraining.

You want an easily gained 10kg of fat or muscles? Go to McD everday, buy the largest burger, within a month you will gain more than 10KG.

It's great that you have a plan but trust me, I'm about your height and you won't be able to gain 10kg in 6 months, 5kg in 6 months sound more reasonable. It took me more than 1 year to hit the 70kg and 3 years to hit the 80kg mark, plus you're swimming 3 times a week.

Dude.. you will injure yourself eventually when you start playing contact sports.

Your muscles are stronger but your bones and joints are not.

Swimming strengthens muscles, not joints - so over prolonged periods, you will increase your risk of joint/bone injury.
