with that budget i don't think any speakers worth upgrading. the MX5021 itself already worth something around 600. perhaps if you want to improve your MX5021 further, try a better soundcard / dac. what's your current sc?

QUOTE(MusicForLife @ Jun 4 2010, 08:58 AM) hmm....i can see a lot of differences when i use my amp on my ipod and my onboard sound cad..so what you guys think i should get to fully utilize the performance of this speaker?budget around 200??i can't seem to find asus U1 now.. try this. of course you can adjust all the settings for bass / mids / high but I only gave example for subwoofer since it's the easiest.

QUOTE(power911 @ Jun 4 2010, 02:25 PM) Oo... mx5021 it always become my dream speaker hmm... my history of speakers is free plastic speakers->cap ayam speaker->Edifier E3100->Sony SS-D201 speakers amped with NAD302 never had a mx5021 visiting my house at all lol and assuming such a big space at allIT with S730 subwoofer level +2 is enough to make me go crazy. imagine the power in a small room like this I have to surrender not always. depending on how low the subwoofer can go, actually the one that suffers, if your room is small, is the one outside / beside your room. deep bass travel further since they have longer wavelength. prepare to get complaints.

QUOTE(wudever @ Jun 18 2010, 06:39 PM) Hey guys... just want to know. Why my subwoofer will produce a humming sound usually when watching movie. If it is in music.. it is hardly to identify. The humming sound will increase when volume is increase too... I try to unplug everything and connect back again... Btw.. my speaker is Edifier M3300SF.. Hope u guys can help me... I just wondering will it be sth like the earth loop problem??? Dis is too hard for me.. LOL.. As i'm jus a layman T_T and the humming sound is irritating. first step is to check did the humming occurs if you connect the speaker directly to the power outlet. do not connect to the extension first. also try it in other power outlet to identify where is the problem.

the front and rear should be same volume. you can try with the windows vista / 7 sound control panel then configure, the sound in each channel so be in same loudness.
if you're playing songs and the rear is not as strong, it's because of the upmix software in your soundcard.

QUOTE(karhoe @ Apr 25 2011, 10:52 PM) Ok noted, tuned the speakers abit so that front anc center is a little soft. Photo teaser, more to come upon completeing my room makeover nice setup you got there.. btw if you want more controls to the front, rear, center and subwoofer config for music playback, use foobar2000 and ChannelMixer extension. it allows you to upmix according to your needs. which is very useful, because not everyone have same room setup.
