Edifier from unknown brand to top tier PC speaker manufacturer today. But is Edifier only famous at SEA region, how about rest of the world?

I think it is a wise choice because your room size same as mine. WHile many people (including me, user of C3) complaining about C3 not enough punchy bass, i never heard people complain about R501 Mk2's bass. But i think the bass will not sound so tight, maybe it like M3300 but with extra loud because of down-firing.

Went to ALL IT to test edifiers in Ikano today...very friendly salesmen there...let me test nicely 

Tested M3300, M3300SF, C3, S330, S530

Well for the price, M3300 and M3300SF is really good clarity... but bass wise is very lacking, when bass heavy song the woofer gush out alot of air from the port and cause alot of "wind" sound from the port too.

C3, although cheaper than S330, i still think it sounds much better than S330. C3's treble extension is higher and bass is more punchy, but not loud. The best setting i found in that shop is 6/7 Sub - 4 Treble. Bass is punchy and clear, can hear every note clearly, but is sound quite dry, not much excitement. Not muddy at all with all the songs i throw at it. However at low volume the bass is almost non existent.

S330 on the other hand can provide more mid range detail, like the background crowd in the song Hotel California can be heard clearer than S330, but the woofer seems abit loose and can get boomy at times, often overdo the bass for the songs. Also i cant seem to find the right setting to give me the best balance.. The treble extension not as good as C3 too. I dont know, might be the placement of the speakers but thats what i heard to day

S530 dont need say much, best. Beat every speaker there hands down except its bigger brother S730. Even "THX" MX5021 loses to it

Haaa..i'm not purposely bought the S2000...But it looks good and sound quite balance..so grabed it few yrs ago...the last pair at that moment..so it's a display set..
No la..i like punchy sound..but oso need to balanced la..some device punch bass till hilang vocal..can't la..haaa..
and this time i won't go for too high budget...can you imagine? KRK Rockit 5" studio monitor only cost RM1k+..if i've to spend over that price then rather get those type of monitor..come to the point, wish to grab a device for my workstation @ home & near-field purpose...that's why i don't set too high of budget on it..just as 1 of my reference device and use it while i'm tired with Headphone...most of the time is Music purpose.

Come on, somemore idea or suggestion..then i'll do a conclusion for myself for it liao!!!!cheers...

What brand is more common in US? might get 1 set when i get there 

I think Edifier should put more effort on marketing & advertising.
The western countries ppl alwis look down asians ppl except for Japan, they didn't realise that the underwear supporting their two balls & apom oso made in China.

Bought the r501 yesterday.....for my room and apartment...its superb already.

haha, bro nismo dun too strict on it, judge it based on it's price. I believe it still the best 5.1 in the price range   Listen to it once b4 at fren house, although the satelites cannot match with recent product from EDIFIER. but the woofer is not bad , able to give enough ohmmm, haha..
