no idea man.. i just started googling for it when helzoo said that he saw a white E63 in indonesia.

however, i did see on ebay, a singaporean guy selling WHITE E63 from Singtel... but no pictures... perhaps white is the new E63 colour after black?

i read on twitter that e63 white version is now on sale at indonesia, but i also doesnt have any clue how tempted the looks is. But there's a seller on ebay is selling the white casing for e63, and i believe the casing is oem since the seller stated it so.lol

yeah, i only wanted ori and managed to get it for below RM800 (avaxx set) from LYN. checked out the IMEI no (box, unit and sticker all same), firmware, life timer) all checked out. additionally, i called up the nokia call centre to confirm that my IMEI is covered by nokia and it checked out as well, so i'm pretty sure that my unit is legit and ori. heheh...


haven't really had the time to install much yet, but quick review....

so far, i am totally in love with this unit in terms of the typing and aesthetics. the qwerty pad is really nice to type, better than E71 if you ask me. i find the E71 qwerty pad a little slippery. and because it's a little wider than the E71, the extra space is definitely appreciated. i'm not putting down the E71 (just in case some E71 fans are lurking around.. heheh), just that i think for the price and what it offers, i am SO happy with my purchase.

i bought the black unit (i call it my black beauty) and i think it looks really good. i'm able to edit my word and excel documents on the fly (although it doesn't support password protected excel sheets and it doesn't allow to view, edit or insert comments), and i'm able to create new documents as well, so that's a great plus for me.

tested the wifi and browsing and it's comfortable to read and it's pretty decent.

however, i do have some questions:

1) i can't seem to logon to facebook and youtube using the provided under Menu -> Media -> facebook / youtube. it keeps giving me an error that data packet not allowed or something, even though i'm already connected via WLAN.

2) i'm also having difficulty trying to setup my email account (i'm using microsoft outlook without exchange). anyone tried setting up for a similar email and successfully managed?

3) finally, how do i move my contacts from my phone memory to my memory card?

sorry for all the noob questions.. i haven't really had the time to sit down and read the manual thoroughly (except for the email part which all basically tells you to let the wizard do everything, which didn't work for me) and i would really appreciate your help in here.

1) That's weird. I dunno what kind of app you're referring to, is it a new app??
2) No didn't try, I'm lazy... Try with Nokia PC Suite, it may be easier (to sync as well)
3) It's hidden somewhere, but I don't remember much... Symbian can be quite tricky to configure sometimes.

ok, after having a little bit more time to play around with the phone.. managed to solve some problems....

1. i'm able to surf via the shortcuts given under Menu -> Media. turned out, as with most of my other connectivity problems, were because my connection preference was set to Maxis 3G, which I obviously did not have. After changing it the option to "Always Ask", i can now connect to the Wi-fi, which allowed me to go to facebook and also youtube. did try to load a youtube vid, but it was taking SO long to buffer i decided to try another time... heheh...

2. managed to set up my email account which i via SMTP / POP. however, i have another question... i'm able to receive mails, but not able to send them out. currently, the mail server i'm using for incoming mails is my own, whilst the outgoing mail server i'm using is smtp.maxis.net.my. this didn't work, so i tried using my default outgoing mail server which i use for my outlook, but it also didn't work. anyone can help me out?

3. i downloaded the Nokia PC Suite from their website for the bluetooth... makes it much easier to transfer stuff although it's slow like crazy. gonna get a data cable soon... this transfer is driving me nuts... hahahah...

4. still don't know how to move my contacts and whether it will affect anything or not....

still got loads to learn about my new baby... heheh... if you guys got any tips or words of wisdom, do drop them here yeah? heheh.. have a great weekend! =)

if u said 'move'... then i dono but u can only copy to sim...

select a contact > Options > Copy > Copy to SIM Directory...

hope that's wat u r looking for...
