advocado: well depends on ur budget and standard level on diecast quality... high end diecast models are brands like Autoart, Kyosho, CMC, Minichamps. While moderate but still great quality is like Hot Works or Hotwheels (Elite). As for budget models, u can go for Maiso, Bburago and Hotwheels (normal version)... these models i refer to are 1/18 scale size.
high quality means high accuracy, thus high price... and opposite to budget models... but i can say tat Maisto does a good job in producing quite accurate shape diecast models desptie its a budget model. when i compare my aa Gallardo and maisto Gallardo Superleggera, they almost look identical except for air intake vents, the wheels, windows, rear lights and exhaust pipes... comparison between aa and maisto - Gallardo this is from aa ![]() ![]() while this is from maisto ![]() ![]() a good start for 1/18 collection would be Maisto... unless u hunger for higher quality then get an aa instead, u sure wont be disappointed with tat... my first 1/18 model since i start my collection is the R32 from aa... ![]() |

myke: wow those two colors are tempting!!! if not wrong, the red one is dealer edition of Nissan, specially sold for the Japanese market at first hand... and the black, white, and silver... i should be pokai if i get those 3 colors in one go...
tkt: lolzzz... thanks man! hows ur condition recently? any new acquisition ma? saru88: well, fingers crossed for ur upcoming shots soon... REALCollector: yup, heard tat too... but still waiting for the news from aa regarding the Superleggera... how bout u? plan to get the GTR 1/18 ma? advocado: Maisto usually cost RM100 sth... while Autoart models now cost RM300 or even more... while those limited edition models or with leather seats (example the 1/18 scale Merc CL63 AMG and the Super GT models) may cost even more... if possible, try walk around those diecast shops to see for urself... |

myke: well i guess tkt may be able to look for it as he is the hotworks man here... misma: unfortunately there is none of this diecast model available in the market... but miraculously, i found this in the web, its a 1/43 scale size... http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...d.php?t=1029617 however no specific maker or anything regarding this model and i never see such model before... or perhaps u can go to Auto Bavaria and have some enquiries... |

REALCollector: nice haul there! early greetings eh
myke: do u think aa will release the evo x??? coz till now they seem to have no news bout it... currently looks like they are focusing in making money business like releasing the GTR and some other popular western racing cars... unlike last time as for the case of evo9, aa released not long after the real Evo9 was launched... |

myke: well, looks like time will tell... but for now, i juz cant wait to see the aa GTR with my eyes. hopefully i can spot it here before i head to oversea... :D
shakz7: oh yea, at tun jugah there... last time manage to spot the offer... though price looks cool, cant tell much when looking at the boxes, so dono the cars are alright onot... last time manage to see mustangs, 2 are saleen version... then some lotus esprit from the bond movie... quite an offer but dono the cars are in good condition... luckily im not a crazy fan of these cars... tkt: lovely! last time was the hasemi now calsonic... wonder when will the 2008 GTR Super GT from Hotworks to come eh? :hehe: REALCollector: haha tat im not sure le... never seen a real Enzo before... the Hotwheels version i have doesnt have this imbalance on the rear light... so cant comment on tat... :P lovencare: thanks for the info... great pics there! well, since aa is from hk, the locals would be lucky prior to get this marvel on hand first... the silver really ftw!!! but more colors to come, red and black oso seems nice! :hehe: |

MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS AND HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY!
saru88: well if the stock is enough and time is right, perhaps i could try to help but i cant guarantee u on this tag... however if stay in KL, i think u should have better chance in getting the GTR from Kyosho BTS or Nikko... Currently AA only states "pre-order" on their GTRs in the website... so if the GTR is gonna make its way to Malaysia, i expect them to arrive at least late Jan or Feb or even later... however, in Feb i might not have chance to get it as i will not be in Malaysia. The seller here i used to purchase from is oso not convinced when the GTR is arriving... so currently i cant promise u anything yet... REALCollector: u do have great rare collection there... thanks for sharing! shakz7: oic... well, then u do get a great offer there... nice purchase! boxes are not tat important, most important is the car in good condition |

hmm... maybe u seen too many diecast models these days? well, its not a bad thing, at least it can save ur wallet for sometimes... or perhaps its the personal will issue there, as for me, i do have this problem too... sometimes when i get the will, i will suddenly juz go straight to the hobby shop and get it (but do make sure u are not regret after u purchase it)... one of my most regret purchase is the Porsche Cayenne from Welly as i was able to get myself a Maisto version of the tuned Cayenne by Porsche Exclusive...

yea... perhaps time will tell... but do u mind GTR with left hand drive? coz if not wrong, Kyosho makes GTR in left hand drive version, while AA makes the right hand drive... Maisto oso making the left hand drive too... as for me, i prefer right hand drive GTRs since its born in Japan and JDMs are right hand drive...
