haha... i juz got my diecast model from a hobby shop seller here in kch... if he manages to order the stock then i will have chance to get it... otherwise i juz cant get the models i wan le... so can say mostly depends on the seller lor... unless i really hunger for a particular model then i might juz go for online purchase, which normally costs a bomb...

kabuto rider kick: for online purchase, so far the direct purchase from aa is a more secured way... www.aa-collection.com... email them and try ask for info before making decision on online purchase, they will assist u throughout the process...

REALCollector: well, it keeps getting better and better... meaning price will be rising more and more this year... after collecting a number of this models, the next thing to do is to clean them from time to time...

substyla: oh u mean the Jacky Motorsport at Delfi Orchard? i only purchase once with them last time while i was in Singapore. However i had a bad experience with them through online purchase as they seem to lose contact with me through emails... luckily i havent paid anything yet... well, cant wait for u to let us see some of ur photoshooting skills on the marvellous GTR! rclxms.gif

kabuto rider kick: yea.. im from Kuching. regret tat i didnt plan my holiday in KL for new year eve in 2008 doh.gif currently i guess the hobby shop tauke seems lost contact... looks like he cabut lari i guess... tongue.gif no news for me to get the R35 here in Kuching yet n i think the chance is very dim...

saru88: amazing classic collection! hey u got the Ford Explorer too... it reminds me of my childhood life... but now mine one dono hide in where ledi... laugh.gif

REALCollector: if the GTR is below RM500 then im willing to get one... however im now struggling to get one myself since the diecast seller here is MIA... sad.gif after all, its under Millennium category n i can understand the price would be much higher compared to normal aa models... how bout u? plan to get the aa GTR from any online sources? smile.gif

myke: the price izit still RM500 sth??? did u ask the tauke if the price is negotiable? blink.gif

Jacky Liew is the one from Singapore, he has a shop Motorsports in Delfi Orchard... nod.gif http://www.f1.com.sg this is the website, take a look! if u don have paypal or credit card, the alternative is through Bank Transfer method. the Bank will assist u through the process, but make sure u need to write down the correct account number of the receiver (check it again n again before u made the payment)... otherwise everything will be byebye... sweat.gif

saru88: yup, as mirage said, Mondo Motors is not available in Malaysia... otherwise i would get the Maserati GT le... unless if u go Singapore Jacky Motorsport they might still have stock... as for the Reventon in Malaysia, the only choice is from Bburago... nod.gif

REALCollector: thanks for the effort REAL! btw, the combination GTR pics are really seducing there... im eyeing myself on the white there... biggrin.gif

Move2u: amazing Focus WRC there... wher u got that? wats the scale... i know Sunstar is making their versions too, too bad Malaysia is not possible to find one... sad.gif

Azuma-kun: i guess MotoGP Maisto can be found anywhere in major departmental stores... if not wrong, last time when i head to Metrojaya in BB Plaza, they do sell quite a lot of these MotoGP bikes... nod.gif

REALCollector: thanks for the guidance REAL! well, there is no doubt for Minichamps quality though... thumbup.gif

REALCollector: gosh... this is truly poison man! thumbup.gif shocking.gif Le Mans, i dono they willing to put a JDM machine on the track onot... currently all machines are from the westerners... but since the GTR can bite off the Porsche, its no prob for the GTR to enter the Le Mans GT category at all...

leroy87: well, not much different between both since they are hi end diecast makers... however some aa might be even dearer compared to minichamps due to different categories such as Millennium, Motorsport etc.

myke: lolzzz... yup, the GTR fever is burning and burning throughout this coming CNY... brows.gif

saru88: before u make ur decision, besides the wheels, one thing i find out bout the difference between Kyosho and AA is tat... GTR from aa is right hand drive, while kyosho produces left hand drive... well, my personal preference is RHD since its a JDM, n Japanese car should be in its original driving position baru keng... tongue.gif

Azuma-kun: well, although this thread is named World of Diecast Car Models, in fact anything related to diecasts is welcome for chat, pictures and experience sharing... so no worries bro, juz bring any diecasts out here... smile.gif

saru88: yup... most of the western cars are LHD, tat one i can understand... however for JDM cars with LHD, a big nono for me... shakehead.gif (except for rally cars sweat.gif )btw there are some western cars do have RHD selection, they are UK spec with UK license plate... if not wrong, the DB9 from Minichamps is one of the examples...

m190e: welcome to the thread... suppose ur new to LYN eh? anyway, u can spoiler the pics to make the quote shorter... thanks for the compliment and enjoy ur stay here! smile.gif

kabuto rider kick: LOL my collection is nothing compared to Spikey's... n high end collectors from Singapore as well... but its the fun and excitement to be able to collect the car that u want... tats something money cant buy... biggrin.gif

talking bout REAL, i wonder where he been recently? where are u REAL? hows everything?

JtuneD: yup.. juz got info from car website too... gosh its too hard to resist!!! wacko.gif

REALCollector: LOL REAL, u add oil on fire ah? the pic is truly stunning... but the black opal color is some special color eh? juz like the Midnight Purple from R34... i guess aa gonna make it since they start the stock version... gosh the GTR collection is never ending! doh.gif

n yup, i lack of R8 here... didnt manage to find one here le, only saw a Maisto version in Parkson Sunway Pyramid... didnt get tat too... now my wallet is shrinking seriously, need to save up some penny for CNY clothes eh... sweat.gif oso as for now, i have to focus on the GTR and a mystery car model which debuts this 2009... brows.gif

cham2020: sorry to hear that... but anyway, ppl change... hope u can change back interest to diecast in times to come! ur welcome here anytime... biggrin.gif

saru88: haha do u think aa wont do so? note they are profit minded... if they produce the SpecV, it could be a profit to them... tongue.gif

myke: don worry mate, im sure ur collection will grow from time to time... biggrin.gif juz let it grow till can get a real dream car... but by then, this hobby remains since money aint no prob oredi... tongue.gif

Move2u: nice! mind to intro the model? scale? maker? smile.gif

REALCollector: haha good lar... as long as ur enjoying this hobby as much as i do... rclxms.gif the reason of this thread is to share experience and views among diecasters not only Malaysia, but all over the world (hopefully sweat.gif ) too... perhaps there are more greater diecasters out there, juz that they didnt notice LYN diecast thread or they seldom go online... let's wait n see, its juz a matter of time after all... biggrin.gif

bout the Supra Super GT, i think the wheels do look bit different too... the ebbro version looks sharper... but talking bout ebbros, im stunned with the price tat climbs more than RM100! shocking.gif saw lots of ebbro sold during the Super GT last year...

btw guys, my first acquisition in 2009... its not a GTR though sweat.gif TEASER FIRST! photoshoot is still under progress...

haha guys looks like teaser doesnt play its part well... perhaps the body color oredi reveals everything le... laugh.gif btw im juz wow n wow this weekend though...

nice haul from -vip3rleon9- on the Murcie, where u got that? i dono whether aa will release their version onot, however they will release the Superleggera in times to come... looking forward on ur photoshoot eh... wink.gif

n my oh my saru... finally u got it! rclxm9.gif so excited to see the pic though... the white color is absolutely nice, no doubt... it matches the wheels well despite aa didnt paint them in the original form metal gray... anyway, as discussed before, white could fade and turn yellow if not taken care well, so do take more notice on this marvel ya? at least take a 5 minit look everyday to make sure everything is ok and clean it from time to time... its a GTR after all... biggrin.gif n oso, same view as the rest of the collectors here, quick quick show us more pics!!! drool.gif btw, congrats on getting the first aa GTR here in LYN!

REALCollector, i have no idea whether its from the team u mention onot... however it does have Italian flag on it, and its from 2005 de... talking bout the LFA, i tot they stop the project due to economy slowdown? blink.gif

bout the pedals, even if its true i don care liao... as long as its in well condition and most importantly, stays in our collection... after all, we seldom open the doors and look at it kua...

anyway, before saru and viperleon post their hauls, im gonna post mine first! haha laugh.gif the Ferrari 575 GTC Evoluzione 2005 (tats wat written on the box) sweat.gif

interestingly, upon purchase, i first saw this Hotwheels logo behind the box... even though its produced by Kyosho, Kyosho seems to ask permission and get the license not only from Ferrari, but Hotwheels too? blink.gif seems tat Hotwheels really have a huge part in manufacturing Ferrari diecast models eh...

myke: i have no idea yet... havent seen any matt color models on bubbles yet... however hope the tyres not melt then should be fine le... so this should mean Kyosho Ferraris will increase in value after the license got expired? its quite sayang though...

kurz: yup its matt black... texture is different compared to glossy surface... however extra careful is needed as fingernail scratch can easily occur on this type of matt surface... nod.gif

kabuto rider kick: lolzzz thanks! never know the pics are so powerful... as myke said, practice makes perfect! tongue.gif

-vip3rleon9-: hey don like tat say lar... these are all same, they are diecast regardless of brand or price, as long as its diecast... n ur shots on the lambo is great, kinda have the poster feel though... as usual, demand for more pics! rclxms.gif

saru88: LOL no ur not the first GTR owner here... i guess the first GTR owner here in LYN is REAL... he has both Super GT version n road car version... but u can be considered of owning the first AA GTR in LYN! laugh.gif i have to say perhaps u can try to pick a good daylight time, then use the sunlight to reflect the true colors of the car, tat would be interesting! nod.gif nice sharing man!

in fact, a close shot on te GTR reveals its a metallic Pearl White... at first i tot its juz a solid white although the paint is called Pearl White... feel great to know its a metallic color le... smile.gif

AssKicker: haha thanks man! so i consider my pics are successful, manage to poison u guys to get one for urself... laugh.gif

kurz: interesting stuff! guess anything is possible le... i saw the first GTR in my area too, not driven by a teenage/young executive though, its owned by a mid aged (around 50 - 60 years old) uncle... spotted it when he brought his wife for morning breakfast... biggrin.gif
