myke: wow... the price... shocking.gif expect RM600 including all the shipment fees... don think worth it for a AE86, even more expensive than the Veyron model... looks like better stick back to the Hotworks 1/24 ok le... tongue.gif

cham2020: tats not good for us, only good for the Japanese... sad.gif

REALCollector: thanks for sharing...! wink.gif

advocado: well, tats aa quality... but i don think bulk order is worth the move since the price per one model is considered too much... nod.gif

v26davk: FXX u might as well visit Parkson or Jusco and take a look, 360 Modena i fear for no stock available le... unless u can try ur luck at Graffiti Toys BTS... otherwise the other way is through online purchase - ebay... all these Ferrari models are from Hotwheels

iman_210: yup... as myke said, the coverage is limited lor... other than tat, Hippo is the current way to reduce humidity... but dono charcoal idea will work onot... sweat.gif

myke: nop... it simply juz pop out from my mind... coz previously i was listening to a radio station, they say charcoal can reduce smell in shoe cabinet, then i was thinking since charcoal is a dried wood, it should not only suck smell but perhaps humidity... of coz, we might need to change them from time to time... we might as well let it dry under the sun and reuse it over and over again... save money and save environment too... biggrin.gif but this is juz my thought lar... sweat.gif

iman_210: yea... nth much we can do le... despite the spoilt view, as long as it can prevent the cars from bubbling then should be ok le... and talking bout DBS, here u go
user posted image

its the version from Casino Royale... produced by ERTL (the one tat produces movie cars such as the Fast & the Furious), however the quality is so-so but the model is now no longer available in the market le...

last time i managed to find this model in Amcorp Mall hobby shop tat sells a lot of figures... too bad the hobby shop always closes when i visit there... it seems tat the hobby shop only opens in certain time... doh.gif it was last year's Jan when i saw it, dono now still got stock onot... u can try take a look there...

REALCollector: sweet GTR there... im sure both these makers will make tonnes of money in producing this model le... tongue.gif for me, 1/18 autoart FTW!!!

advocado: oh got this charcoal ma? sounds great too... maybe can try but i dono whether they will work onot... sweat.gif

cham2020: how u gonna mod the DBS??? u plan to blacken the wheels ma? perhaps it might look cool... btw the rims still look ok kua, although the rim patterns on 1/64 are similar among each other... they share one thing in common, those wheels are low-profile, which make the cars look nicer! laugh.gif

Grajindo: aiksss... sad scene of diecast there eh... sad.gif maybe u need to spend more effort on sweeping off the dust eh...

xcrue: great initial d collection there... btw perhaps u can get a customized case to store all the cars together... tat might look better i guess... smile.gif

mkii: hi mkii! thanks for the valuable advices and stay here! i never know smoking can cause bad effect to the models too... blink.gif n im glad to hear tat the Hippos are ok and don bring any side effects to the model... and yea, too bad Malaysia weather is humid... its kinda sad tat there is nth much we can do to prevent the cars from deteriorate but only to reduce the speed of deterioration... sad.gif how bout ur collection now? do u still keep them or sell them off le?

REALCollector: sweet Impreza!!! everytime when i see ur Super GT collection, i was hoping AA will juz release them asap... the CUSCO Impreza is one model tat i wish to have in 1/18 other than the GTR... Yamano is a very lucky guy i can say... tongue.gif

yshiuan: well, u can check this out... http://www.grandprixlegends.com/Info/Scale_Guide.html#other

guys, since the DBS fever is here, perhaps u can go online purchase for the Minichamps version...quality is no doubt, its the price that u willing to pay for a 1/43 scale... tongue.gif

http://www.grandprixlegends.com/diecast-le...-2008-1-43.html

and btw, got the parcel from tkt yesterday... heee tongue.gif

Blaze Dragon_89: hihi i saw ur models are displayed juz beside the window... have u been displayed them there for a long time oredi? coz the heat may transfer from the window to the car models and may cause damage to the paint... perhaps if possible, u might wana place the models distance away from the window...

my latest diecast acquisition from tkt - 2006 & 2007 D1GP Blitz ER34 Twinpack... superb detail liveries despite the 1/64 scale size... thanks tkt! rclxms.gif

QUOTE(mkii @ Nov 16 2008, 12:53 AM)
Hey Jasonist,

I have nothing left in terms of die cast cars...Sold everything cheap, as more and more of my collection got blisters and deformed tires, i just gave up when the virus took over alot of my collection.

Now basically I just collect figures and gundams...so far no deteriorations...fingers crossed...

But I admire what you guys are into, it's an excellent hobby.

I'm actually interested to see how AutoArt's take on 1:18 AE86 Trueno...If they actually do the current version, with the Carbon Fiber bonnet, I might just get it, to go with my 1:6 scale Takumi...

Cheers
*
Autoart does produce the AE86 Initial D version, but restrict the availability in Japan only... doh.gif the model does not come with carbon fiber bonnet...
http://dunstopshopping.blogspot.com/2008/0...dy1-status.html

one of our forumers has the link to Play-Asia where u may be interested to get it through online purchase...
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-8x-77-...en-70-2w6q.html
however after calculation of shipment expenses all those, the price is much expensive than the Bugatti Veyron model... sweat.gif

Blaze Dragon_89: unfortunately there is no retailers of Mondo Motors here in Malaysia... i never heard of this brand before after the reventon model is introduced... they do have some interesting models such as the Maserati Gran Turismo coupe... thumbup.gif too bad seems impossible to get in Malaysia, unless go for online purchase...

tkt: do u encounter this problem on Hot Works models ma??? blink.gif

mirage-rs: yea, since they now share the same quality of diecast, but try compare the quality of Murcielago of Maisto and Bburago, and Dodge Viper SRT-10 between the two makers... Maisto gains better quality than Bburago... on the other hand, the Range Rover Sports diecast have the same quality among the two makers, juz only colors are different... nod.gif

tkt: aiksss... the FC!!! doh.gif this really makes me regret of purchasing the Jada Toys version last time le... sad.gif the hotworks 1/24 scale FC will definitely fit with the tofu car and FD Initial D collection but not the Jada Toys version...
