Just purchased a Ball Engineer Master II Diver with an all black bezel in SS bracelet last weekend. Really beautiful. Besides the changes on the bezel, which is now all black instead of black/green or orange or grey, the 3H tubes rating is now T instead of T25 on the older diver models. I checked it out on the other watch forums and they posted that T25 basically means that it has <25 Tritium and T on the dial means that that it has >65 and up to 100 Tritium on it. Some Ball watches has T100 on the dial (notably the Aviator series), which means that it has 100+ Tritium on it.
So, in other words, the new Engineer Master II Diver with all black bezel has much brighter lumes than the other Diver models. No wonder when I see it at night, it is a lot more brighter than my Ball Trainmaster Pulsemeter. Fyi, the more Tritium, the brighter the lume is at night. Pictures will be up soon. Btw, if you are planning to get an Omega, get the Aqua Terra models instead. I just bought an Automatic Omega Lady Aqua Terra in SS for my wife last month. She loved it a lot. My next watch purchase should be a Rolex GMT Masters II with the new ceramic dial so that my SS Rolex Datejust won't be so lonely. This post has been edited by friedricetheman: Oct 8 2009, 04:13 PM |

QUOTE(yijzen @ Sep 26 2009, 11:17 AM) hey there guys... my dad decided to get me my first real watch.. so i did some research and stuff.. and it came down to these 3 models... why not just go for IWC Portofino...If u really good in nego, I believe u can get around rm8k....these watch are really awesome compare to any Omega,bm and tag1.http://www.amazon.com/Baume-Mercier-Capeland-S-8502/dp/B000Y1NBFG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=watches&qid=1253934334&sr=1-1-spell its discontinued so cant get it from official website... 2. http://www.mauricelacroix.com/en/Collection/Pontos.html ( ths is the exact model.. http://www.watchnerd.com/pt7548ss001130.html 3. http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/car...w=CV2010.FC6205 i like the baume & mercier but the only flaw is that the case back isn't transparent.. whereas for the tag.. many ppl said its overpriced and stuff.. and for the ML, the coments online doesnt seem to be too good either maybe because its a generally new brand.. well i like the looks of these 3 watches.. but cant decide... as i'm still new in watches.. would like to ask opinions here... |

Guys, If you're going to buy a Rolex, where would you go to ? There's this particular model which I like. Went to HG at KLCC today, the salesgal there was like..well she behaves like she owns the rolex company itself and you're not good enough for a rolex, then I went to another AD, not good too.. I'm no regular to these outlets, I know very little about watches. Only thing is..I saw someone wearing this model and I really liked it and I would like to get one too but I don't know where to get a good price for it. The list price for this watch is about RM25K. |

Biker, maybe you've got that look to carry a Rolex !!!
Well, I was in my jeans and slippers, don't intend to dress any differently just bacause I'm going shopping for something different. And maybe I don't have that look or style or didn't bring along a sugar daddy.. |

ABSOLUTELY NO DISCOUNT. In fact they raised the price 3k due to the fact that the 16600 had been discontinued.

Here's an impromptu pic of my Ball Engineer Master II Diver with the all black bezel. I bought it about 2 weeks ago.

My dad is about to get his Tissot polished for scratch removal. How effective is the polishing service offered by watch shops? Anyone tried before?

QUOTE(Enclave Recruit @ Oct 13 2009, 10:53 PM) My dad is about to get his Tissot polished for scratch removal. How effective is the polishing service offered by watch shops? Anyone tried before? You can always get a polishing cloth and a polishing stone to DIY. Much cheaper that way. But, if you really want to get it polished, I suggest bringing it back to Swatch Group to do it. Usually, the service centers will polish your watches for you when you send them in for service. I never trust watch shop people as I have a bad experience with one of them who did some servicing on my watch and also removed some parts in my watch too. Ever had a swiss watch with made in china parts... |
