You may notice there is only one reverse light at the back. Eastar only has one side reverse light(left). The right hand side is the REAR fog light which is switch on during rainny day at might. This is a modern feature for new design.
Gogogo Eastar!!!

Harga ngan leather seat sama ya! Kalau bukan leather seat, RM79,888. Cuma tinggal 2~3 kereta. Cuba contact Mr Lee of JB Auto SP utk tapat harga baru, 019-4117190.

How many crews is not important! When we drive the car, we know it is a very safe car. Eastar has max power 95kw(127Hp), doesn't need 5 screws. Eastar is a 7 seater family MPV; not meant for racing.

hi, Enigma, i  driving around at penang, but never seen any Eastar also, may be here not many people know yet.. there is 2 dealer here, i have tested drive one, i think this Chinese new year, too free, going to test drive again for another shop la, but will book in KL, at penang, they priced it higher la..
discount only RM5K, leather seat around 3k. I thought KL discount 7k and leather seat only RM2K? why no standard one?

Chery New Friend,
You have to give them a price and ask them to meet. I did that but anyway service in Penang is not very good. I'm not very happy with them. My first service item not even a single item solved.

Hi My 386, I did not ask them to match the price, as i already decided to purchase in KL, and will bring back to penang for family to use.

ok, smilu, just curious only, when i visited temerloh show room, the Mitsubishi NEW EVO just displayed next to V5, i only noticed chery come with only 4 screw..

i also noticed, the centre AC blower not only blowing to our driver hand, it also only can swing sideway a bit only, hmm... thought this the chery designer should be consider in future.. tongue.gif tongue.gif

first answer....mine 18 rims with 4 screw....PCD same like waja ....and other cars....

secondly ...what about 5 screws??? safety ???? stylo ???? you in off road or what ?????? only four is enuff.....tiara only got three maaa..........still alive and kicking .....

Added on January 29, 2009, 7:58 pmfor the SC .....I think they have only servicing Chery Eastar let say about oct 08 - jan 09 .....how many months ???? give them a chance to improve .....this is their best product so far .....hope their mgmt will improve ...since aftersales is damn so important ..........

Dynasan...change the whole dashboard??? whats the problem ??? Airbag ???

I think we should list down all the common problems again here and what are the main problems that still can't be solved.....and what are already been tackled and solved by SC .....

For the benefit of both parties ....we need to give and take ......hope CMC will find a way ......

Hi friend, you are right. Chery Eastar has only 4 screws for each wheel. It doesn't matter because Eastar has maximum power 95kw(127Hp) only; not as powerful as EVO which produce 150kw(~200Hp). Furthermore, the power output is electronic controlled which delivery smooth accelation(hardly can spin the wheels). So, no worry! If 5 screws wheel is fit onto Eastar, doesn't make any different.
Cheer for Eastar!

1) sorry Enigma.. just came back to office today and just found out that u were in TC. next time lah..

2) I went back to Kelantan on last CNY. And during that 4 days, i found 4 Eastarians.
So, i gave them some signal, but they seems shock. It's ok. It doesn't mean anything, just
want to say hi (can i say that)

3) about the outsider crap, let them be. nothing to lose.

4) about the windy noise, please elaborate in picture, SMLIU, sorry, I can't imagine.
Hope you can share on where, what holes etc etc.. thanks.

5) forgot who ask just now about the NSCAP or whatsoever... to me, it will be depending on you.
how you drive and your attitude. Laju membunuh. That's all.

6) I noticed my car can get dirty easily... sigh.. memang lah, kalau tak nak kotor tak payah drive...
any suggestion on how to at least minimise the dirt?

Now with picture; please refer to picture and follow the procedure.
The "wind noise" actually come from the wing mirrow. Try to open the inner cover of the wing mirror with thin crew driver; start from the top portion, then to the bottom portion. Do not force open it from bottom as it is very fregile. Once open, you can see two holes meant for fixing the wing mirror and another two two holes are for the cover to clip on. You must use some insulator foam to stuff these hole. For the two big holes, just sip in two big pieces of insulator foam to cover up. And the other two smaller holes, you need to use the insulator to cover the "revert" on the wing mirror cover. Then try to fix this "wing mirror cover" back; fix it from the bottom then adjust the "revert" to the small holes and then plug in or push in. Once you have done so, the "wind noise" will disappear.
For your info, I did it for both sides. The car is very quiet.
Insulator foam: I am using air-con insulating tubing foam. It is easy to cut off into whatever shape you need, easy to stuff(very flexible) and heat durable.
I hope this will help.
