thanks for the pic. It already looks 'wow' enough to me. Do you have any info on the total cost for this facelift ( skirting and spoiler)? Is this BJ starlight open on this coming Sunday? hope to drop by

Dear all,
So far I've not experienced any overheating symptoms with my car, but I notice that my radiator fan only on when acc is on and then it goes after that with no on and off like a normal radiator fan. I suspect a faulty sensor but yet to confirm it with SC. Anyone having similar problem and solution pls let me know

great modification.... when can all those modification can be done in KL? eager to see it on my real eye la..

by the way, which is the best shop in Kapar i can get a 17 inch rim? cheap and good one la..

that is my first move if i buy Chery V5 crossover / eastar MPV.

2nd modification will be done by me is tint the back light to red color, still feel that conventional red color is more stunning la, own opinion.

i found a design issue is - the 2nd row seat is too high, for those are short, their leg cannot reach the floor. hanging sometime not comfortable.

anyway, i will be the driver forever, so i don't care. hahah

i don't know what i m waiting now, just yet to decide to buy this, may be after CNY, i will be joining u guys..

form a road tour to promote this car... i will be joining u guys..

latest info from my brother

1) current price arround rm80,888
2) bodykit will cost extra rm2800
3) the best news is current interest rate is 3% only compare to mine 3.8% during the purchase on last november 08.
4) roof bar will cost you rm500 - current release installed with roof bar
5) leather seat will cost rm2k->rm3k

i would like to recommend to choose islamic loan while the interest rate is equal and there will be extra benefit compare to conventional loan. base on my experienced, Make sure to mention you loan type during loan application as conventional loan will be treat as default choice.

Hi All...

Just Arrived at Dungun .....9am .....departed from Shah Alam at 5 am.....petrol cost RM 70 .....350 KM .....ha ha ha....average speed 120KMH .....highest top speed 170KMH !!!! LPT Highway

Hi i test drive again in Penang.. find that the engine is quite loud and rough, suspension not that bad at all, the front AC blower blowing to my hand. AC is very cool which i believe no problem to back row seats. i drove with 7 persons feel good.

i will book the car immediately after back KL, Snow white color is my choice and i will buy this definitely..

hope that the bodykit will be ready soon...

Odometer showed 5250 KM .....My meter showed a " spanar " icon .....time to service ???? he he......dissapear after a while........

saw few Chery Eastar owners today ......about 2-3 eastar on tyhe road.........

Added on January 25, 2009, 11:41 pmSalam,,,,Aku kat Dungun .....tadi ke Setiu jarak dalam 290KM ...cost minyak aku RM 50 je .......hujan .....hari icon spanar muncul .....mileage aku dah 5250KM.....balik dari Dungun next week aku gi service la kot.....untuk 5000KM....bau asap tu korang cuba try kotak air filter .....tiub yang bawak masuk angin tu ....try cek kat sendi dia.....kot kot tak pasang kemas......

Tentang wiring pulak ....kalau korang cabut fius reverse lamp belakang .....kalau korang reverse ada sentapan kuat ....so letak balik fius kalau korang sakit hati tgk lampu tu nyala sebelah ....aku buang je socket reverse lamp tu .......

canggih kete ni ...LPT 170KMH kacang putih je.....berani tak berani je......ye lah bawak 5 nyawa .......so byk ingat family la........

I tell you .......Eastar adalah satu ENIGMA !!!!

kos minyak dari Shah Alam ke Dungun average speed 130KMH ......jarak KMH 450KMH RM 70 je.....gila save.....dulu waja turbo aku pun RM 80 ........damn ......

hi, Enigma, i driving around at penang, but never seen any Eastar also, may be here not many people know yet.. there is 2 dealer here, i have tested drive one, i think this Chinese new year, too free, going to test drive again for another shop la, but will book in KL, at penang, they priced it higher la..
discount only RM5K, leather seat around 3k. I thought KL discount 7k and leather seat only RM2K? why no standard one?

hello, tadi pergi ke another penang branch nak tengok Kereta ni!! TAPI close la for chinese new year, i thought CNY biasa jual kereta is open one!. tak boleh tahan lah, now can't wait to KL book SNOW white Chery V5.

i heard, somebody fix the reverse camera and change the dual din audio system to TV type! so you can watch TV as well. hmmm since the car price is relatively low, perhaps can invest some on those fixture, my wife love it la.

go go go chery V5 eastar....

Thank you Enigma, KL is WSF 4900 as at today, penang is PJB, Selangor is BFK... Look like KL still better... hopefully when my time take the car can be somewhere WSF 8000 to 9000... thanks ....WSG also not bad at all..

definitely more people will buy this chery model, it so affordable and good value of money. non of the car with 2.4 engine capacity can priced at below 90k..

Salam/Hi all, manage to open up the dash panel and change the ori CD player to touch screen double din dvd ..DIY. I'm the kind who don't trust the 'kedai accessories"workmanship. Patah berderai bukan depa peduli..kena before.
So DIY for me lebih safe. Any body who need the guide just pm.
I'm snapping the pic tomorrow to sort of document it for those who keen to operate the panel..

Anyone try this b4? What is the word show on the dashboard when reversing the car to a very close object? It should be a word "STOP" but what is the actual word shown? Can Eastar owners try this and give your comment?

Png started PJB 2 weeks ago, you can choose the number from PJB; I estimate the number running at 4xxx~7xxx now. My salesman told me he still has Snow White Eastar (2009 model) at offer price.

Thanks, Smliu, i got my saleman in KL already. I have yet to decide b4 CNY, now with the support of my wife, my brother & my family. i will call him to book.. nice to hear that all of you enjoying driving this MPV.

Nizam, may be next time we should meet up and teach me how to change to touch screen LCD panel, can yours one watching TV? and reverse camera as well?

Added on January 27, 2009, 2:58 pmthought that want to wait for Proton MPV, but i don't think i will do that, as i seen the latest image at internet which taken at their factory not so nice as compared to Chery V5, dash board nya Teruk sangat design nya. speedometer as well is lousy. some more is dark grey color which is so conventional. only 1.6 engine, i heard, which priced around 80K. that not competitive at all.. that the reason i decided buy Chery V5 Eastar...
