My Eastar had wind noise from the front left; sound like from the left dashboard. The wind noise started at speed above 60km/h and it is terrible when the speed reaches 120km/h. Good news is that I have found the source of the wind noise and solved the problem. If anyone facing the same problem, I am willing to share the solution to this problem. It is fun to drive Eastar!

hi, Enigma, i  driving around at penang, but never seen any Eastar also, may be here not many people know yet.. there is 2 dealer here, i have tested drive one, i think this Chinese new year, too free, going to test drive again for another shop la, but will book in KL, at penang, they priced it higher la..
discount only RM5K, leather seat around 3k. I thought KL discount 7k and leather seat only RM2K? why no standard one?

Betul ke macam tu? (Sorry, sy tak pandai English). Banyak beza tu antara harga KL dan Penang. Kat KL kat mana dpt harga murah?

Sorry, I thought not all people have this "wind noise" problem. Ok, just try my best to make it simple. The "wind noise" actually come from the wing mirrow. Try to open the inner cover of the wing mirror with thin crew driver; start from the top portion, then to the bottom portion. Do not force open it from bottom as it is very fregile. Once open, you can see two holes meant for fixing the wing mirror and another two two holes are for the cover to clip on. You must use some insulator foam to stuff these hole. For the two big holes, just sip in two big pieces of insulator foam to cover up. And the other two smaller holes, you need to use the insulator to cover the "revert" on the wing mirror cover. Then try to fix this "wing mirror cover" back; fix it from the bottom then adjust the "revert" to the small holes and then plug in or push in. Once you have done so, the "wind noise" will disappear.
For your info, I did it for both sides. The car is very quiet.
Insulator foam: I am using air-con insulating tubing foam. It is easy to cut off into whatever shape you need, easy to stuff(very flexible) and heat durable.
I hope this will help.
Gogogo Eastar!!

To Arifazali, if you have the the "wind noise" from left side, please read the solution from below:
If you still need help, please let me know; sms or call me 012-4072838. I will definitely help you to solve this problem.
Cheer Eastar!
