Hey guys, I am going to get my iPod soon, hopefully will get it delivered by next week and I got myself pretty confused with what you guys said.

Uhm first thing, I thought iTunes is the software that you use to listen music?
And secondly, what's with the buying thingy stuff?

I been keeping myself update with the thread because I'm a soon to be owner of iPod.

I really couldn't expect myself to go through all the pages.

have download iTunes? download now! iTunes not only to buy/download songs but buy/download apps/games for iphone and ipod.

Walao eh, I really didn't know iTunes have so much stuff!

itunes is a software that manage connection between ur computer (mac or pc) with the ipod.

first time activation is require and u need to have itunes ready in ur pc/mac by now. go and download it.

buying stuff is that apple has introduce iTunes Store where they sell music,movies,tv series (USA only) as well as application (available for Msia) for your iPod. just pay a visit...choose Malaysia Store at the end of the itunes store page...and browse for ur self....buy free stuff as much as u can...

and not forget, podcast. kinda short video. got many genre from tutorials video to cartoons. movies and videos also can be buy/download

Itunes U. The place to find lectures, educational videos,etc on subjects that were being teach in top universities~

Oh ya, they said that it's better to register the iPod under US country.
Can anyone just give me some anonymous address to register it?

EDIT: I mean they said it's better to register under US because can buy app via Gift Card, so what should I do?
I wanna get myself prepared before I got my iPod!

no its not. if use US acc...u need to buy via US Credit Card or Itunes gift card. mind u that itunes gift is very specific to certain country...u cannot purchase itunes gift card from Australia and make purchase application in USA itunes acc...

I got lah.No.The story is like this.Someone pick pocket my phone and wallet.Both on the different side of the pocket.Then I remembered puttting my money in my bag.When I realised it was gone,I panicked.I think the guy who took is from beside me.So then i remembered THT's number.I called and arrange a meet up.He bring my iPod and I give him the amount.So swttle lah.

Right now, I'm having a problem registering either iTunes account because they required me to fill in the credit card info which sadly I'm not legal to own 1 yet.

Umm.. I have a question. This is the first time I'm restoring my iPod Touch. OK, so far what I can see is the ipod touch screen is currently showing apple logo (the startup logo) and a status bar (for restore process, i guess) below the apple icon. The white status bar is full but iTunes is still in "Restoring iPod software..." status. The Restoring iPod software status bar in iTunes quickly filled up almost 3/5 and then it stopped for almost 45 minutes now. My question is, is this normal? Do restore process takes a long time? I'm actually restoring and updating the iTouch into the latest 2.2 firmware So far, this is the 5th time I tried to restore. I've updated into iTunes 8.0.2 and still no luck. When I disconnected the usb cable, I can't access my ipod and it only shows usb cable arrows to itunes icon, meaning that I have to connect to iTunes. Currently, the Restoring iPod Software status bar still hangs but ipod touch screen showing full white status bar, is the restoring process complete? Please help, or maybe I will just go to switch / machines to fix this problem.
