QUOTE(firezy @ Apr 21 2009, 11:33 AM) samperth, the aunty dont let me snapshot photo. the condition of that 4 little buggers a bit off due to the small enclosure. she quoted rm200 for the 3 small buggers around 2inches. RM400 for the bigger bugger about 3+ inches. i hope tort lover can let me know where in JB can get real burmese star or radiated. thanks. If only Rm 200 for 2 incher than 100% cant be Burmese as they(Real Burmese) retail of Rm 1200 and up for 2 incher !! All the best in your hunt for Burmese and Radiated !!

If 4 ft you can safely put them togather for say 2 years but do add some log or larger stone to act as visual barriers !! BTW you 100 % sure yours is Alligator snapper as common snapper are less compatible if more than 1 kept !!

Hi all TTT experts,
recently i got a new ST, a sick one actually.....the previous owner kept it indoor for 1 whole year without sunshine.....when i got it, the whole shell very soft. it won't eat and always closed its eyes. after 1 month with me, basking sunshine every morning, it's more active now, shell getting harder although still a bit soft.
the problem is, i find that the shape of its mouth is different from my 2 ST. the upper part closed inside the lower jaw. pls refer to the pictures in comparison with my 2 ST. the sick ST was indicated with "red arrow". so, will its mouth grow back to normal in future? does it affect its growth in any way? do i need to do anything since its shell still a bit soft?
as for my 2 ST, i kept them for 1year ++. any comment? do they look normal? is the big one starting to "pyramid"?
Sorry if i asked too many questions at one time. thanks for any comments and guidances.

[attachmentid=924941] [attachmentid=924942] [attachmentid=924943] nice ST u have there..em,i cant see the mouth part of the arrow one lah..but for me,its ok as long as he can eat well..for the soft shell, keep expose him to sunlight like what u are doing now and dont forget calcium supplement..maybe he didnt like the taste, but u must mix it in the food to keep calcium source for his body especially shell..and the big one,for me,not too pyramiding rite now as a little pyramid is normal to certain ST,but keep track and control the diet,i mean give the healthy food to him la,not high protein food like long bean all the time, but most people do that to their ST. BUT,im not expert here,so wait for the other comment.. Added on April 24, 2009, 3:18 pmQUOTE(yana_adell @ Apr 24 2009, 02:06 PM) i already have 3 cute tortise..,about 6 month years old. It looks and sounds like an overgrown beak. my baby displayed the same symtom b4 as well. the lower jaw was outside. i just force her beak to open, give the lower jaw a nudge and it snapped shut back to normal. the symtom did not reoccur again ever since
