btw, i dun like the messaging part ..its not like noral inbox, but it put CONVERSATION WITH everytime msg received ..

1 sms inside inbox can contains 50sms looks like conversation..

btw, whr to get free plugin for atom ..

ermm... the messaging part is actually one of the new features of WM6.1
it combines all msg frm the same person into a conversation like dialog.
nothing much we can do bout it.

what do you mean by free plugin??
free applications or??? any applications that you need or have in mind?

but threaded msg is a lot better.. u will know it later.. caz, i saw SE user, want to show SMS to others, then keep on searching their phone inbox.. 1 by 1..

Does anyone know, what is the maximum memory card capacity for atom life? I was wondering is it capable of supporting 4gb?

my atom life cannot sync with my laptop
it keeps say : "usb not recognize"
but the battery is still charging from the laptop
is it a hardware or software problem?

haha... i cant even finish my 2gig sd card. n ther's still way a lot of space in the internal storage =.="

as mentioned in another topic. some PDA can support up to 8gig of sdhc cards. and with the help of certain apps for support.

anyway, i do feel that 2gig is good enuf. unless you do wanna store a lot of stuffs.
more space could make loadings laggy n slow.

and since for rom flashing, the maximum supported sd capacity is not more than 2gig.
so if you wanna enchance further ur sd card space. do make sure you have a spare 2gig for sd card rom flashing.

ur laptop using vista or xp??

but 1st thing... u go to
start menu -> settings -> connection tab -> USB connection

check which type of usb connection is set as ur default connection
got 3 types.

im using 4GB miniSDHC from adata.. actually atom life can support as big as available card of minisd...

haha... thought of installing some movies in it, actually im on 2gb edi, juz out of curiosity

owwwhh .. now i knoe .. i tot onli mine ...

but the keybod always keep hiding when to start typing huhuhuh ..

i used spb mobile huhuhu .. its looks better with some icon in screen ..

hmmm... tats weird... coz mine, the keyboard is up when the message/conversation thread is accessed.

i used spb mobile b4. nice UI shell. smooth & fast as well compared to other UI. n easy to find a lot of customized skins
the downside bout it is:
-resourse hungry
-buggy when accessing the start menu(since the spb mobile shell covers up the lower right & left short keys & the top taskbar & start menu)
-accessing some functions may require more steps & taps. <--- one of the common complaints bout this UI, though it provide a lot of short cuts for programs

i believe ther's nothing we can do bout the inbox.
unless we use external sms/messaging apps. though some of the newer sms/messaging apps are also following the trend and converting their sms system similar to wm6.1 sms system.

did the msg pop up during one of the steps in DSUU window??

if i'm correct, its related to the temp file created in ur window/temp(either not compatible or older version issue)
where you download the rom from??? i think i dint put this rom at the 1st page of this thread.

from wher(the forum) you download the file.
ther shud be another external file provided to replace the error temp file.
you shud need to find that.

since i dunno wher u get the rom from(i assume you get it frm xda-developers or directly from PDAviet)
so... i dunno how to look for the file for you lo.

im using windows vista
already install windows mobile device centre

my usb connection is set in RNDIS sync mode
there are 2 more type:
1) Serial sync mode
2) mass storage mode

eih... shud be no problem ar.
since you using vista... summore install the new mobile device center ady.

anyway, u try to change to serial sync mode see.
normally for syncing, use serial sync mode or RNDIS mode oso can de. mass storage mode is making ur device function like a card reader.

u plugin ady... then nothing happen ar???

when i plug in the usb cable, an icon will pop up and say "usb device not recognize"

hmm.... actually vista shud be compatible with wm devices ady... regardless if you install that mobile device center.

another question: the usb cable is directly plugged into the comp/laptop or thru a usb hub??

"usb device not recognize" - shud means after u plug in. then driver installation not successful or driver not supported.

try with other comps or wmXP if possible.
then you will know its ur device problem or ur computer OS problem.

if its still charging after ur plug in the cable thn the usb port is still functioning. no worries.

probably jus driver/software/OS crashes/bugs
