i have a small problem here, i think there is something wrong with my device. The total available ram is 48.39mb only. What can i do to get more ram space. One of my friend told me to upgrade the OS.
by the way, im still unsure what it mean by the term "flash", "cooked". Seriously i have no idea about this. Someone can..... |

in that case which is better? Running on flashed or cooked?
What can i do in order to restore the ram to more than 50mb, because one of my friend is using atom exec but his ram is 52.41mb which i was shocked. Mine is just 48.39mb How do i go about is there any memory optimizer freeware? the last i was using was a program called "memmaid". This program is very good indeed but sadly its just trial edition. |

QUOTE(ahnien @ Dec 8 2008, 04:07 PM) yup, indeed you can. thank you so much ahnien. It really helps me. There are so many things to be discovered in PPC and sometime it gets tricky and confusing.. go to contacts, select the contact u wanna add pic. menu -> edit -> jus below the contact name, ther's a select picture option. |

Does anyone know, what is the maximum memory card capacity for atom life? I was wondering is it capable of supporting 4gb?

QUOTE(ahnien @ Dec 12 2008, 09:07 PM) haha... i cant even finish my 2gig sd card. n ther's still way a lot of space in the internal storage =.=" haha... thought of installing some movies in it, actually im on 2gb edi, juz out of curiosity wat u wanna store bro?? as mentioned in another topic. some PDA can support up to 8gig of sdhc cards. and with the help of certain apps for support. anyway, i do feel that 2gig is good enuf. unless you do wanna store a lot of stuffs. more space could make loadings laggy n slow. and since for rom flashing, the maximum supported sd capacity is not more than 2gig. so if you wanna enchance further ur sd card space. do make sure you have a spare 2gig for sd card rom flashing. |

Need some help over here. Recently i also dunno what is wrong with my atom life:-
1) Call coming in then after 2 or 3 ring then suddenly the whole pda shutdown, and i have no idea how to diagnose this problem. 2) After taking out the sim card then when i switch on back the pda it actually works, but then when i restart it with the sim card in then after loading the windows it will shut down by itself. 3) Later on, i perform the hard reset which is yesterday then somehow the problem seems like resolved and i am experiencing for the second time. Although, things have been solved but i still wonder why this type of things can happen. Can someone enlighten me with this problem. |

it says to do the flashing the mmc capacity should not exceed 2gb. That means is 2gb in the count, coz im using a 2gb card and planning to do my flashing but still confuse whether 2gb is included or not?
1)from ahnien's post the no3 update by TrahMin wm6.1, is that ok, coz i just want to use it as my organizer and not really fancy about it the graphic. 2) the PIM backup should be installed in the mmc card itself or in the device memory? 3) Is it possible to remove the sim card before flashing? Coz takut the felllow later erase everything including the content in sim card then im wantan edi liao.. 4)Is it possible synchronize using active sync 4.5, coz i remember once i hard reset then the contacts all gone but then when i plug in back to me pc than later the active sync auto copy/sync from pc to pda. 5)By flashing is it the existing content in the mmc will be lost too? Thanks to everyone |

QUOTE(diablo69 @ Aug 13 2009, 05:45 PM) hope my answer will help.... 1) how do u do it using the cable? isit transfer the zip file onto the pc?1) i myself not sure flashing from mmc... i've been doing it using cable. 2) just transfer the pimbackup to ur mmc. u can run the program from there. 3) based on my experience, flashing didn't erase any contact in the sim card. 4) there is an option in active sync to sync ur pda and pc pim. so u where lucky that active sync kept a copy coz if not mistaken at default setting it won't sync pim data... 5) its always advice to remove any data in the mmc before u do any flashing... even using cable, i will always keep a copy of everything in the mmc... 5) how u do it...thx |

QUOTE(ahnien @ Dec 21 2009, 04:42 PM) ermm.... if you flashed in the latest wm6.5. noted, thanks ahnien, btw im running on pv's 6.1 roms the latest IE would had been preinstalled in wm6.5 you can get official roms from MWG. but why?? why not cooked roms?? official roms are jus a waste of time, as far as i'm concerned QUOTE(ahnien @ Dec 22 2009, 07:01 PM) ya lor. buyer pay deposit ady. 2molo delivery lo. are u using the 6.5beta which u posted? is there any proper link to download it coz, the link is directing to somewhere until i sesat liao... actually i not that eager to sell. but no choice. really enjoyed my time with my babeh especially using cooked wm6.1 & wm6.5. tributes to the cookers so far.... i think wm6.5 served me the best in terms of stability, bugless & smoothness. 2 thumbs up. highly recommended. now testing the final wm6.5 rom (chinese version) b4 i sign off too bad. currently i doubt any PDA battery in the market cant sustain my usage for my work & job. moving back to SE/nokia while waiting for iphone(booked a month ady). gonna try out blackberry once 9700 is officially launched. hehe.... really looking forward for more with WM in the future. |

QUOTE(enriquelee @ May 22 2010, 06:28 PM) from my experience, wm6.5 is good in the sense of, it has better graphics, better navigation which leads to a slightly slower processing. From my usage i feel the battery consumption as usual only, unless u're on wifi. |

u mean rom or ram? If its upgrading ram then i could say its hard and risky to be done although there are few people have upgraded to higher ram. If you talking about rom then im using 3rd party rom.

cool, im a user of atom life as well. Actually, upgrading to 3rd party rom or even the original ones can be done by ourselves, just a few simple steps, can save you more $$ than giving it out to the shops to do it.
Currently, I have put my atom life to relax for a while coz im test driving my friends MWg Atom V |
