ATOM LIFE sd card flashing wont affect any files or delete any files in ur sd card. installation method: 1) download the file from the download link provided on the above. either rar or zip or direct .dio file. the file shud be about more or less 50mb-70mb 2) extract if needed. 3) requirements for SD card rom flashing: -ur sd card MUST be less than 2GB -ur sd card MUST be formated to FAT16 format(you'll see tis from ur pda), or FAT format(you'll see tis from ur desktop/laptop) -make sure your PDA is either fully charged or have at least 70% battery to avoid power interuptions during flashing. charging wont occur during flashing even if ur pda is plugged to a power source or usb. 4) place the AL1.dio rom into ur sd card. place at the ROOT of ur sd card(not in folders, or sub-folders). 5) INSTALATION starts. not by clicking the .dio file or etc... 6) jus press hold of the recording button(the button on top of the camera button on the right of ur PDA), then use the stylus to press the reset button below ur pda. if done correctly, then ur pda will go into a black screen with some words showing.... blar blar blar -> *MiniSD Detected* => waiting 100% » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Press Record + Reset, leave Reset first. after a sec, leave record. take note, tis process mayb troublesome at times, as the timing sometimes play an important role. else, ur device will jus soft reset as u poke n leave the reset button. i had to try it a few times as well. but no worries. 7) wait till it finish. try not to do anything. the process shud take bout 5mins. then ur pda will auto reboot. 8) enjoy ur newly installed rom. ATOM Exec, XDA Atom, Atom Pure How to Upgrade the ATOM OS using SD Card Flashing: Requirement: 256MB/512MB miniSD or less (tested to fully work) \| 1GB miniSD or more (not supported) 1) extract diskimage_Ver.nb0 from Atom ROM Upgrade 2) edit nb0 file using hex editor 3) remove 12-byte header (08 00 00 00 30 34 32 36 30 36 31 31) and save file as diskimg.nb0 4) copy diskimg.nb0 into miniSD 5) enter into bootloader mode: CAMERA+RESET 6) wait for downloading of OS to finish 7) it is natural to see error messages like ('couldn't find file....') because we only loaded the one component for update 8) After a successful update, it will automatically HARD RESET. Warning! You will brick your device if you mess with the bootloader. The bootloader is only updated on special cases as described in the upgrading problems. PanDA Enthusiast Senior Member 2,308 posts Joined: Jul 2007	k... now 1st of all. wat model are u using?? atom life or exec or xda atom?? things you need to take note of: -ur sd card format must be FAT16 or on ur desktop, you will see it as FAT the record button is the small button on the right side of ur pda. the one above ur camera button. to be precise: after u copied the Al1.dio file into ur sd card. press n hold record button --> then you poke n hold the reset button. leave reset button 1st, after bout 1 sec, then you release ur record button. ATOM Exec, XDA Atom, Atom Pure may use the above method if file is in .dio format. How to Upgrade the ATOM OS using SD Card Flashing: Requirement: 256MB/512MB miniSD or less (tested to fully work) \| 1GB miniSD or more (not supported) 1) extract diskimage_Ver.nb0 from Atom ROM Upgrade 2) edit nb0 file using hex editor 3) remove 12-byte header (08 00 00 00 30 34 32 36 30 36 31 31) and save file as diskimg.nb0 4) copy diskimg.nb0 into miniSD 5) enter into bootloader mode: CAMERA+RESET 6) wait for downloading of OS to finish 7) it is natural to see error messages like ('couldn't find file....') because we only loaded the one component for update 8) After a successful update, it will automatically HARD RESET. Warning! You will brick your device if you mess with the bootloader. The bootloader is only updated on special cases as described in the upgrading problems. I suppose that was upgrading the ROM process? since you are using dsuu mode. the sd card capacity wont be a problem. but u will need to make sure you need to have adaquate battery in ur device. as even though ur pda is syncing thru usb during dsuu mode. ther wont be any charging. the rom available on the 1st page are dsuu mode providing a step by step ultility setup. jus click that n follow the instructions. its hard for me to say which one is better. cuz... i never use em b4. but basically, comparing those cooked roms with the official roms. you will notice of course: better battery life, more free ram for usage, more bundled of useful apps, removal of useless apps from the official roms, increase in performance, etc.. if you are jus looking for a basic n clean rom, with less fancy stuffs n smooth usage + a lot of free rams. then i think u shud choose the 3rd rom by demand. if u wan a fancy rom which will turn ur exec into something new. then the 1st two rom with touch flo2d will be nice. but those 2 shud have less free rams compared to the clean rom. n be prepared for some minor bugs in the roms. for me, its not a big issue. but troublesome at times. example: mayb some broken links in the touch flo. not sure for the exec roms, some bluetooth sending n receiving bugs, active sync auto on, etc... happened in my atom life roms. but some bugs are solve in later versions. you can click on the title of the rom to go to the original post at xda-developers forum. you can get more info ther.

Plan to do today. its easy. you jus have to disable it at your today-plugin. start menu > settings > personal tab > today in Today > Items tab > untick TouchFLO a basic check list. make sure you've back up all the stuffs. -contacts, pics, important notes, sms, mms, videos, docs..... what ever that is important read again the installation steps. and make sure you are clear with the steps needed. make sure you read properly the instructions, n know which flashing mode you are using(dsuu mode or sd card flashing) dont miss a step. be patience, dont started to panic when it loads slower/no response. n dun start pressing buttons, taking off the battery, etc.... it may b normal. make sure ur battery is atleast 70% full. hmm... did i miss anything..
