NNs for England which season bro?

in any event, i don think there are any left in KL, perhaps those 1 or 2 odd sets for the current season kit.

again, best bet is online at ebay, or homeofbadges or wiggysports.

I think the season where England miss this year euro 2008?

Hi schmeichel7 and all,

I have 2 questions to ask.

1) I wonder whether MU's last season's UCL patch is the same as current season? Cuz as I have observed from the first page, for every 3 years UCL will have their patch altered a bit. And this year is the 3rd year since 06/07 season, is that true?

2) As for MU's UCL NN, is last season's the same as current season since they will be using the same home kit?

Thanks.

1) this season's UCL starball is indeed different, but it doesn't apply to manchester united because they are using the champions starball patch (differs from the normal starball patch)

2) different UCL NN compared to last season. do check some of the pics in the previous posts to compare.

giotto,

yup they started recently, and i think it is only fair. Makes us feel better too in a way and not feel guilty bout "using them" to do the NNs.

Yo Steven,
Hows it going man. Long time no join us for futsal?

Honestly if you ask me, i'm not in favour of them charging per jersey. I always believe that we consumers or so called collectors must practice moderation. I mean we're given certain priviledge by others, and in this case, don't la everyday go there and ask them apply NN's. We should also support them by buying jerseys from there, not just from websites just coz its cheaper slightly.

I tend to disagree a lil bit here. If I can get a similar kit that is cheaper elsewhere, why would I get it from a shop that sells it way more expensive? Case in point, a Man Utd kit that you can get online for less than RM 200 plus shipping, or a standard RM259 at some local shop. That's a no brainer right. We as consumers must make a wise choice. Money don't grow on trees.

But I agree with the moderation part though. Imagine you get some power haulers who bring in 5 kits at one go to apply for each NNs, susah la like that. I think what ALI or R1 can do is to be more flexible on prices, or even do some promotion like free printing or something like that cause from what I see, the demand for jerseys in Malaysia is there but they need to take advantage of it.

Haha I wanted to join the last few Mondays but its always full, and the Saturday ones poor response also sad.gif but ya will definitely join again soon!

I agree with your views on us supporting them and they reciprocrating it by providing added services for free, but then again sadly alot of people nowadays really just go there to apply NNs without buying any other things from them. I have seen with my own eyes a growing number of such occasions everytime i go to ALI / R1. Problem is, cant really blame either, as the NNs some JC look for are not availlable at all locally so they have to get it elsewhere. Then the only place to have it done up on the kit is R1 / ALI BB/ Q Line who have press heat machines - essential especially for PU NNs (not all are like our taikos who can DIY them confidently haha). And also the customers may not want to buy something from the shops when they apply the NNs as there truly may not be anything that they need or want.

So by charging a reasonable fee, it would seem fair to me in that they are providing a service that requires special machinery and specific skills and expertise.

Added on October 23, 2008, 10:47 amI think they are not charging the fee if the NNs are bought and applied at their shops, maybe someone can confirm this?

Yes, Khai. I wont disagree with you on that coz i myself do that on newer jerseys like Arsenal, Real Madrid and others. If you can save RM50, which is quite an amount, imagine if you buy 10 or so jerseys per year.

But at the same time, there's many other knock down priced jerseys in ALI. I buy them all the time, i mean if i want it la, not because i buy for the sake of supporting them. I get futsal shoes from them, i buy socks from them and the LYN jersey was gotten from them as well, although we very much had a choice of shopping in Pertama Complex to scout for something much cheaper. In fact the LFC guys are looking at group jersey in which i told them to go to ALI BB simple because their service so far has been spot on, they have the stocks and obviously for the support they've given us JCers all this while.

there are some of our fellow JCs who tend to go to R1 and ALI every other weekend to apply NNs or whatnots. i think moderation definitely should be practised here...it doesn't dwell well to bring NNs to them all the time, but what about the odd customer or so?

for me, the service of printing NN remains exactly that - a service. a side service that should remain free - imho lar. it's like a service provided in good will in lieu of us frequenting them. i do understand why they have started charging though, and it's because of some people who tend to bring in bulk and bulks of baju in a go. i don't agree with charging for the service of printing, but i accept it.

moderation is definitely the key here. if there aren't people who treat their free printing service in loose faith, i think we wouldnt be experiencing this now.

I think the printing service is free if you purchase the NNs there..

Have to confirm on this, maybe can call and ask them?

This is why I DIY my NNs printing..
