Look at what I found

Tempting that, if I was richer........and smaller...

21 jerseys.. if posted here, very highly likely to have problem with customs later..

vodafone if its embossed then its nice lah. if its just printed i dont really fancy them
*
Man United 2002-2004 home and 2002-2003 away kit are the only embossed vodafone nike kits...

The 2002-2004 home kit's embossed vodafone sponsors are known to peel off later and are not as good as the printed ones.

I would prefer the printed ones instead.

Yesterday I went to Nike Boutique shop (Sportsland) at One Utama.. To look for the Malaysia Home kit.

Since another Nike Boutique shop (Hytex Studio) is still not selling yet.. the ones selling at KLCC and Pavilion are all Sportsland shops..

I actually was eager to try and test wearing the XXL size Malaysia Home kit since I really really want to buy it.. So I went there, got the XXL size kit and tested wearing it in the fitting room...

The test sample

XXL size

The price tag also shows it's size

I tried wearing it.. and it was tight! Very tight... like L size.

Not feeling happy, I tried testing wearing Man United's blue third kit size XL:

user posted image
Jerseyman wearing XL size Man United 3rd Blue Kit.. can see the green barcode sticker as proof

And not bad.. XL size can still wear... unlike Malaysia's XXL size.

I check the washing tags inside the Malaysia XXL kit:

user posted image
China Size (185/100A) and Korea Size = 110 Chest

For China Sizing.. 185 means for person that is 185cm / 73inch tall, with 100cm / 39.5inch chest.

Korea shows 110cm....

But compared to the Nike Man Utd kits:

user posted image
I used to have 2 same kits with different sizes (XL and XXL)

Washing tags for XL size

It seems that from korean sizing point of view, the XXL size kit is the same like XL size Nike Man Utd kit..

My conclusion.. The Malaysia national home/away kits are asian sizing... and is very tight.

Again, crap.....

My Ferdinand hunt wasn't successful as well. Tried looking on wiggy as well. They only carry Spain NN's. So again, crap.....
*
Yes it is crap.. but again it is all depending on marketing and demand...

That is why when a new jersey is release, it is wise to grab it earlier with the not so popular NNs first.. Buy first think later.

ok, ok.. Thanks a lot, really appreciate it cuz i'm trying to get 1 07/08 patch so since 06/07 is the same so my search widen a bit.

It is virtually impossible now to find the normal 07/08 UCL patch on ebay (there are fake ones though).. Maybe they are sold in Singapore.. not sure la.. Will update if there is.

QUOTE(MaxReddevil @ Dec 9 2008, 01:24 AM)
Yup, the starball is indeed authentic. Made by SportingID, hence no lextra wordings printed on the plastic film.

I did contact the seller before and he does post to Malaysia using Royal Mail International Signed For (registered mail, which is safer).

Shipping fee will be £5.00 per patch. Extra patch (if more than 1) will be added £0.25.

Ebay is really testing my resolve at the moment. And just found last season's black kit as is the white kits with Rooney CL's numbering which is really testing my resolve. Found so many other Man United jerseys that I like i.e. the white one from 2003 or was it 2004 as well. The one with the red stripes across and looks like a rugby jersey. Furthermore it's in XXL which is the only one I found so far and is quite hard to find. Well, at least I couldn't find any.Need to start holding myself back or I'll go bankrupt. Heheh. Already spent quite an amount and that's not adding the payment that I have to make for the black kungfu Cantona kit with his name and number that I won yesterday.

I blame schmeichel7. He got me into this jersey collecting business. Hahaha.
*
Haha.. thanks for the compliments mate.

On serious note.. please be careful with ebay because it can be very very addictive. Use ebay for only looking for retro jerseys or jerseys that are missing in your collection. And try to use debit card instead of credit card because sooner later you might need to clear your credit card debts like myself (trying to clear them back to 0, no worries) and try to control yourself to buying only maximum 2-3 jerseys ONLY.

I do use a debit card. Xnak a hutang2. But have to control a bit. Going to have to go into a semi retirement until end of the month smp gaji masuk blk. Hahaha.

Can someone clear something for me though. All this time I've spent trolling on Ebay. Most of the awesome jerseys, well at least those that I find awesome comes from Hong Kong. What's the deal with that?? Is there something about Hong Kong I don't know??
*
Good to hear on that.. What debit card do you use? Mind to share with us? Any requirements needed when you want to apply it?

Regarding about hong kong.. yes.. most are from hong kong because hong kong is the hub for jersey distributions for this region. And also a lot of well known collectors are from hong kong and they too are bright enough to keep the old stocks from time to time and then later resell it..

Nothing to worry about, most of the items are authentic. Only thing is that they have loads of DIY stuff like DIY NNs and match details (or known as 'insigna').

Guys..my purchase from united direct kena some disbursement & something that cost me 100 bucks more..should i pay it or not?...why didn't they call me before charging me? can i return the item and ask for a refund?...my total purchase was less than RM450...what should i do?
*
Your purchase was taxed? If yes, sorry to hear that...

If it was taxed, then there is nothing much you can do but pay for it.. They will not refund it unless you return back the item with the filled 'return slip' that comes along in the package.

OK...if i were to return it...

1 )what's the overall procedure?..
2) do i have to pay anything for the return?
3) do i have to inform united direct of any kind?
4) how long does it take for united direct to refund?

has anyone does it before?

Thanks guys for your much needed info  notworthy.gif
*
1) you have to post it back la.. use either UPS/Pos Laju or Pos Daftar

UPS is very expensive, cheapest and still safe is Pos Daftar

2) yes.. the postage fee of sending it back

3) yes, email them first (shop@store.manutd.com)

4) not sure.. depends on how long the item arrives..

First of all.. why on earth do you want to return and get it refunded? Just because of extra RM100? And why was this extra RM100 charged at the first place?

Not worth it.. if you want to return and ask for refund just because of RM100.

The amount was 72.22 pound..which includes the shipping fees..totalled to about RM405 by my CC. What else can i do?..i've PMed bro schmeichel7 already and waiting for his advice..How can i make a complaint to customs? Can you actually do that? since they already paid my disbursement fee and duty amount.  cry.gif

From your pm to me, the total weight is 1kg. I guess this is the reason why they taxed you.

And again.. just take it la.. you already bought 2 jerseys and 1 mug for RM405 including shipping fee.. Imagine if you bought the jersey here, how much does it cost. And the tax is just RM100.. Not RM200 or more like some people.. just pay it la..

Again a reminder to others, the mods of this forum has advised me not to discuss too much on how to avoid tax etc... It is against the rules of LYN forum. Sorry.

I've never done this before mate. United's sponsors are still ok for me..

Anyway if you want to.... as said, maybe you can try using nail polish remover or any form of acid.. Good luck!

I got a pm from a friend who asked me to check if this Man United 08/09 white away jersey is authentic or not.

Strangely the jersey is being sold for RM150 (very cheap) and is it 'Made in Thailand'. I said.. WTF? The original ones should be made in morocco.

Check out the photos:

1. The collars looks almost authentic.. It has the correct " >> UNITED <<" seams beneath the collars like the authentic one.

2. The club crest still looks fake.. The red devil logo looks fat and is poorly embroidered.

3. They even dared to imitate the washing tags for Asian Market! Stupidly.. there is no measurement on the China © and Korean (K) sizing.. Chinese measurement should have something like 185/100A and korean should have chest measurement such as 110. Blatantly imitated but looks almost the real thing.

4. More attempts to imitate the washing tags

5. And another scary attempt is to have the correct coloured barcode sticker (red for Large size). But the style code and colour code is totally wrong. Style code must have 6 digits (fake one has only 5) and colour code should begin with number 1xx for generally white kit (original one's colour code is 105) while the fake one is 408? (4xx is for blue). And also, the grey long tag should have manutd.com instead of nikefootball.com

Beware!

Yeah, this is certainly a worrying trend. This is another reason why we're usually better off buying from legit local stores or legit internet stores like Kitbag. eBay has lots of goodies but as they say - 'caveat emptor' or

since even United Direct do not sell women jersey + the Champions 07/08 starball.

Challenge him to proof it to me that it is authentic.

I can challenge him and proof that it is 100% fake.

Can be discussed through pm or through this forum..

Try asking for a refund since I can proof it is fake.

bro jerseyman, since ur here, I want to ask something about ironing the jersey.

I got a UCL champs 3rd kit with everything on, havnt wear it before but now it looks a bit comot to me. So I was thinking on ironing it. Is it a necessity to spray water onto the shirt first? I also want the NNs to bond better just like the jersey brick surface.
*
Not necessary but it works more effectively if it's slightly damp.

You can either spray some water or dampen it with water and then spin dry using washing machine (I prefer this method.. moisture is spreaded 100%), then 'terbalikkan' your jersey, then iron beneath the NNs... Make sure you set medium heat (2 dots) on the iron and press slightly when you iron the NNs.. Press slightly for 5 seconds on all areas.

You might not be able to iron all areas because the NNs sits near the area where the sizing info is printed near the collars.. What you should do is cover the printed sizing info near the collars and then press iron it.

Spray water on the 'terbalik surface' where the NNs sits.. Make it a bit dampen.

No problem mate... just be very careful not to iron directly on the printed NNs and other printed PU things on the jersey such as the MUFC wordings near the collars, the sizing info near the collars (inside the jersey) and also the AIG logo. These PU printed things can melt easily if ironed directly by your iron.

bros..

need advice if CasaNova doesnt want to refund me..
*
What you can do is:

1. Take photos of the fake jersey... take photos of the:

a. club crest
b. inner tags inside the jersey (on the bottom of it)
c. nike swoosh
d. price tag

2. can you paste the conman's posting that sold to you this jersey in the LYN garage sales thread here? I want to see what he said and wrote.

3. Post a complain in the " Trade Zone Helpdesk & Dispute Resolution Corner". Here is the link: http://forum.lowyat.net/TradeZoneHelpdesk&...esolutionCorner

Report the conman's LYN id, link to his sales thread.. You can post that later after I've explained here why the jersey is fake (from the photos you've taken later).

Will try my best to help.

hey guys, just found something interesting to ask:

user posted image user posted image

The left shirt is the usual kit, the right one looks just like the left one but if you noticed closely the tiny lines are exactly the opposite colour.. just observe the line above the crest is RED while the left one is BLACK.

Now I wonder whether the right kit is authentic or not.

Added on December 11, 2008, 9:13 pm@ fakhree:

Just launch the dispute thread against him for refund, we will support you.

Yup.. the red line should be below the vodafone logo. And the round shape logo above the vodafone logo should sit in between the 2 stripes..

Hard to tell that it's 100% fake just based on this single fact though.. It could be a defect by nike..

Yup.. so the placement of the red or black line cannot determine the jersey is ori or not
