If budget not a problem why choose Wharfedale? There are tonnes of better speaker out there. Wharfedale considered budget speaker.

Go for Diamond 9.1, if properly matched, it really sings well and probably blow you away.

On paper, Diamond 8.4 loses out in sensitivity by 4dB. No probelm, just crank higher volume. While 9.5 is 2dB higher than 8.4. Then again, it means nothing much on paper.

Anyway, here's a review for 9.5 : Diamond 9.5 review

ermm... guys, i'm in the uk right now. and a wharfy 9.1 is selling at gbp115 with uk shipping. i'm tempted.

i'm using a notebook. i have priority on music over movies. i don't really need a surround system. just a stereo system will do. may i know is there is any matching amp that suitable just to drive the stereo channels. my budget is limited.

thank you.

That's cheap. Here probably set you back by RM800++.

Get NAD stereo amp as it partners well with it.

well, thanks for the info htkaki.

i've done some googling and it seems like the entry level NAD and Azur the difference is only RM100-200. how bout the Azur 340A SE compared to NAD C315BEE?

and yes, another thing i wanna ask is it necessary for me to get a DAC to connect from my laptop to the amp then to the wharfy? my laptop got spdif output.

If you get a DAC, it will improve ur music experience more. I think stereo amps cant accept digital signal.
