Agreed. Let's not waste our youngster talent. The like of Stoch, Sinclair, Taylor and Di Santo could bring a prospect future to the club. They deserved some chance to prove themself.
*
It's not that we want to waste, but the competition within the players are so great that the youngsters have no chance to break into the ranks, we are different from the Gunners, they rely on youngsters as this is Arsene's philosophy, but Roman's? Winning is what matters most and LFS has no choice but to field the best.

This game is a shocker, considering that even Arsenal can win against top tier team with their virtually reserves team, this is a real shocker.

But do remember that ball is round, anything can happen on the pitch.

Let's think positively, it's just nothing more than a Carling cup!

We should have ended the match with the 1st half...see what happens when it gets complacent... :-|
*
Agree, we should have killed them off earlier and not allow them to come back to the game.

well, it was good to see drogba and his superb goals again. he passed though one defender, scored through two defenders and a keeper. it was  beautiful smile.gif

Beautiful yet not enough to win us the ticket for next round. And Di Santo missed a great chance too!

our goalkeeper needs to beef up with something more skillful way of saving balls

Cudicini has passed his peak, we should breed younger goalkeeper instead.

a little bit worried with chelsea this season. Yes, chelsea played beautiful game this season but chelsea look struggled with big teams (draw with MU, lost to Liverpool and Roma).

Right now lost to Burnley again lost with penalty shootout. Yes, this only Carling cup but lost to Burnley its a shocking result at Stamford bridge some more.

Its strange when chelsea can win comprehensively in BPL but lost to Burnley with 2nd teams that should be any problem to beat Burnley.

Maybe Chelsea took this game easily? 2nd team is not good enough? whatever it is, Chelsea still need to work hard if they really serious want to win back BPL and win champion league
*
Whoever team want to win those trophies, of course they have to work hard la.

It's the V-sign not the F-sign bro. And it certainly doesn't stand for 'victory'. I don't think Didi will be banned. Mostly likely he will be handed a heavy fine instead.
*
They don't care about heavy fine. Imagine earning 100k++ per week, what's wrong about paying a few to the FA as a 'good deed'.

But what I can assure you that the players wages are exceeding the revenue our Club have.

Penalty......Misery
Are we England in disguise?
We need to solve this problem if we want to win cups this season.
So, we should have at least 5 good penalty takers.
Ballack, Lampard, Deco, Ashley Cole, Belleti, Kalou should have no problem taking PK.
*
FYI. Bridge and Mikel missed the penalties.

Congratz to Lampard and Anelka. biggrin.gif

I expect a strong performance against WBA tomorrow though LFS has not commented on the lost on Thursday.

The casualty list for our centre-backs seems to be growing by the day. Carvalho is still out, Alex is out. We only have Iva, Mancienne and Stoch left in our squad. Mancienne isn't included for today's match. I think Iva will start alongside JT with Stoch on the bench. By the way, Deco might not be fit to play as well but fortunately Bertie is back for this match.
*
It's sickening to see the growing list of injured players, hampering our hopes to finish the season on a high note.

^ lol kerp...

okay, Cech is injured pulak -.-

I know Cudicini is a great keeper...but cmon..our Cech man! how serious was the injury anyway?

No news about Drogs yet? Means he will be available for tonite's match right?
*
I remember Lampard once said this, 'Carlo is the best 2nd string keeper in the world'.
It's true and he has did well in the absense of Cech, though Cech is the best! rclxms.gif

I am so delighted with our victory, clean sheet, 3 goals...what more can u ask?

good to see madfag is in-love with Anelka now, I've always been his fan hehe...

Positioning - 20
Finishing    - 18
Technique  - 18

Hands down.

p/s: Anelka the ultimate easy-team trampler? naw, up to this gameweek n he's on top as leading scorer? He is 1 hell of a lucky striker? I bet all managers want their strikers to be lucky then.
*
Hands down?
My legs down as well. tongue.gif

Some may have argued that Anelka did well only against 'easy' team, to me, there is no easy team in Premier League.
And to score 12 league goals, surpassing everyone expectation, that's what we call ability.

lolnaldo faces easy team as well, Rooney, Adebayor, Torres, Keane, they all face the so-called 'easy team' week in week out. But do they reach that kind of milestone? Not yet.

I may had doubted Anelka ability at the start of the season, but now, I think the 15 mil buy from Bolton worth all the value. and Anelka will be better than DD, for now.

Anelka, notworthy.gif

Since Mancienne can play as right back, it is better for ferreira to leave and give this young lad a chance. Belletti can play as right wing. It can lower the overall salary too.
