Diego capel is coming? or just your proposal for additional player for the squad? then where to put Anelka? D Santo? i believe we r quite tight in budget now .... so getting a new player is not an option unless it is a replacement..just my 2cent

RA has lost almost 12 mil resulting from the economic crisis, I doubt he will sign another high-profile winger.

Podolski a few times linked with Man City. I think podolski suits well for BPL style because he is decent footballer who can play as a left winger and striker

It's difficult to tell if a player suits BPL or not. Some players fare better in BPL while some flop.
Even before Malouda came to the Bridge, many had predicted than he can shine in here, but it's the different case now.

It's sickening to see the team conceded 3 goals and poor defending even on the air! Our defence are constantly caught out and credit to Roma for such a confidence display.

To lose 3-1 is quite unimaginable to me, as I know Chelsea are in superb form. But a lost still a lost, fortunately we still top the group and we need to see off Bordeux next week to seal our place in knock-out stage.

im suspicious..

intentionally lose to Roma so that 'BIG NAMES' from our group advance?....did u think about it? especially with big margin? all credit to Roma with goal difference...
i wonder  whistling.gif

I don't think so. This does not reflect Chelsea sportsmanship.
But this is the club biggest lost since the lost to Middlesbrough two seasons ago.

Was pretty surprised that Chelsea passing was pretty bad. What do you think it was the factor? Is it because Roma anticipated and manage to intercept those passes? Or just that Chelsea passing that day was just plain sucky? Or perhaps someone has spike all their drinks before the game and make them groggy? Or was it that the Pope was praying hard that Roma will win?  tongue.gif laugh.gif Any theories?
*
Why Chelsea lose? Simply enough.
Roma were much more superior than us in the second half, though we played well in the first half, we didn't take our chances and let the victory flying. In the end, we were punished. But a lost is a lost, accept it and look forward to the next game. smile.gif

Ive already want him to be shipped out prior to the hat trick. And I appreciate his hat trick as in its surprising he can even score more than 2 in a match. Did I salute him for that hat trick, kid? Ask yourself, is that hat trick really a good hat trick or a shit hat trick? I'd pick the latter.
*
That was an awful hat-trick to be frank. He just ticked in the ball into the empty net.

Be rest assured that JT will blow whatever motivations into the players' ears, and be rest assured that Chelsea will bounce back.

i think i can admit that as a chelsea fan.. defeat is a defeat.. as long as we still on the right track to achieved our goal, one or two defeat is ok.. IMHO, failed to win against big team is not a sin.. its much better if you compared with arsenal rite now.. win with other average team, but failed to win with stoke, sunderland, fulham and hull.. i think whatv happen to us is much better than them.. so stop complaining about defeat:)
*
Second to sanfa.

I agree that we should not drop points against big teams but heck, we are doing it consistently as you could see who is topping the table now? Liverpool may grabbed maximum points against Chelsea but don't you realise that they dropped maximum points to the bottom team as well? To me, consistency is what matters most and we should not judging a team by calculating how many times they have beaten any top teams before. Whether it is a big club or average club, most importantly is that the players go into the game with a winning mentality.

It's a past tense now. Now we should instead look forward for the next game!

Owen? Too injury-prone. What I afraid is that he sleep on the treatment bed more than training on the pitch. And RA burned another 5mil for nothing.

Man, its really sad to see if Ferreira must go. He's been with us when we won the league. He's our right back choice back then. Then again, if we really in need of force upfront, it can't be avoided as we already have a strong cover for right back position and he'll only be underutilized.
*
It's a waste if we let him rot at the stand instead. He still has the qualities of a good right back but Chelsea isn't the place for him to perform. I believe other clubs could resurrect his career, if LFS chose to sell him.

Man UTD lost to Arsenal, so it's entirely up to us to gain 3 points against Blackburn tomorrow.

Anelka is real lucky these recent games huh?
Poor Robinson, totally unexpected deflection, he was real good in saving those goals!
And based from Mikel performance, he is trying hard to regain LFS faith, he tackled almost everywhere and ran through the wet pitch.

And Robinson can be the turning point for Blackburn.

Anelka should have just nicked the ball instead shooting between legs, then he will have two consecutive hat-tricks. biggrin.gif

Aside from Anelka, Terry seemed to not have a great game yesterday night huh? Possibly because of the bad pitch but there was once his bad positioning allowed Roberts to score. And there were quite many failed tackles, nevertheless I'm glad that this is our 3rd consecutive clean sheets.

Unless he can poach this effectively against major teams as well. Numbers... they don't really prove anything.

As long as he keeps scoring goals, I don't mind to keep him in the team.
