Hey guys..

1 2 ask, where do u guys purchase fuel belts frm? those to put water, keys, gels..

thanks notworthy.gif
*
I resell Nathan fuelbelts, and mind you there are not cheap. Dont go for cheap ones as some of my customers do experience the bottles are leaking and the elastic band wears off quickily.

haha.. i just found the terms for these gadgets => "Hydration System", actually these brands got variety of model/belts, they have the simplest version where just hold nicely with 1 pack of gel + key & the most important thing... some CASH..  haha....

there are those very complicated one like Rambo carrying the extra armo, like those belts with many bottles around.
*
yah, some are so complicated like u can carry bottles, knife, bombs, etc. LOL. But those Sigaporeans like to wear it!!!!

the belt looks good, quite a multi-purpose one that can put some many things. Not too bad for RM59.

Sfax,

hw come u gt ur bib no. edi? I tot collection was oni on the 17th?

thanks

Ps.
Hi you all hu hv been running for quite sumtime especially ccube, shoe expert blush.gif me hv ques

do u guys get like blisters? since the day i started running till nw my blisters have NVR fully recovered

me feet type are supinators(my sauchony-s hv slight wear and tear already, outside heel part) -normal arched feet
me blisters are just after the arch of me feet in the front on the inside of me foot (right leg =left hand side, left leg =right hand side)
it used to be me right leg only, but nw my left feet has the blisters too at the exact same spot
the condition on me rite leg has somewat recovered; doesn't bleed
these blisters grow on top of one another, sometimes bleed, ...
the blisters sorta gets worse when i increase me distance or pace ...

any ideas guys? is it me shoes? socks?

thanks notworthy.gif
*
let me try to answer ur queries.

- the wear/tear at the outside heel of the shoe is normal over time. the rate of it is very subjective from runners to runners. so dont worry too much here.

- i am not too sure if there is a lot of movement at both ur arch area that causes friction at the area hence causing blisters eventually.

maybe the following can solve the problem but no guarantee
a) Try this first. make sure ur socks have the capability to prevent blisters eg Anti-Blister system. The only socks I know is either Injinji or Wright Socks. I believe there are other brands in the market but i am not too sure which one.
b) hv a shoe that provide a good arch lock so as to minimise any movement at the arch level

QUOTE(tenno @ Jan 5 2009, 11:29 PM)
I've been running quite regularly as part of my fitness routine for the past 2 years or so. Currently I'm doing about 7.6km every Sunday, 3 laps which include at least 1/2 mile of steady climb, normally I can finish it in about 47 mins. Other than that sometimes I'll run my usual 5K lap around my office in Putrajaya. On other days I'll be in the gym. I'ma be 33 this year, pretty big guy, 90kg, 1.74m.. not fat, big.  tongue.gif

I've always been competitive in every sport I get involved in, I was with Selangor Cycling for 10 years, with the National team for 2 years, was part of the Sukom Core team back in '95, was also part of the Gemilang 2001 project team. After I quit cycling in 2000, I play basketball, played in KL Open for a few years, after that I played football in the KL League in 2006. Now I've been happily doing weights & running. Weights have always been part of my cycling training program as I was a track sprinter (200m & kilometer).

So, I'm looking towards competing in my first race this year, my focus will be the 15K New Balance Pacesetters in March. I guess I still have time to train. But I'm not looking to be too involved in racing, I just wanna see how I measure against others. I just run for fun, just that my competitive spirit wants me to take part in that race. I guess I can do a few 10K, 15K races. Hope to learn for U guys here.  rclxms.gif
*
tenno, u sounds like a very competitive person in all the sports you are involved in. everything are at state and national level. we probably need to learn from you. but anyway we can always discuss anything when it comes to running. feel free to post any Q and we are happy to discuss over it. but if you need a pair of rubbers, do let me know as i am selling Saucony.

Looking at Ur stats Phoenix, I'd be a giant standing next to U. I've just got my body fat % tested in December, I've got twice as much as Urs ! Well, actually, I've only resuming my program with a proper one. It's been on ad hoc basis since after Raya, I didn't have access to a gym. Now I do weights 3 times weekly, cardio twice & in between I play badminton or basketball or football.

& yeah, the NB race is in May. So, still lotsa time. I need to get down to 80kg lean mass by then !
As a matter of fact ccube, I did emailed U a couple of times to enquire about the Saucony shoes, but have since settled for a Mizuno. But I am looking at the ProGrid Jazz 12, proly sometime next month. Is it still available ?
*
Yes, Jazz 12 is still available selling at RM230. If you buy it by 31st Jan, I am giving another RM10 discount as a New Year Promotion. do let me know your size (US)

oo thanks smile.gif
hmm.gif most likely i'll get the socks frm u nxt  month and test it out

what abt shoes? any recomendations frm u? any good stuff frm Sauchony?
could it oso be me shoes are too wide?

thanks
*
also try to apply foot oilment at arch area before running. Vaseline can be a good option but downside is a bit greasy. When my stock of BodyGlide arrive, you can also try it as its not greasy at all.

as for the shoes, can chk out your shoes if u are running this sat. just want to ensure is not too wide.
