QUOTE(baby26 @ Oct 23 2008, 12:16 AM)
Hi bro, thanks to your encouragement, if you think it's good it's all due to you. Anyway I did not read the rules prior to OC & I apologize to all for that but I do have 2 separate snapshot(looking at the date & time it's done at the same time) of cpuid on mem & cpu with Prime stable for >2 hours as attached. Let's hope it's OK and actually i don't intend to be the highest OC around here, credit shud be given to these  AMD proc, that's all. BTW isn't Prime a tough stress test ?
*
nah... d credit goes to ya persistency bro. u'd had gave up on AMD & joint bro -pWs- tongue.gif but still u choose to stick w/ what u have. wink.gif

i'm not so sure d screenies will be accepted as it doesn't comply w/ d requirements. usually i will try to include as much as info in my screenies, not only for myself (in case i need to recall what i've set) but it's easier oso for other to know what's d details (more on showin off laugh.gif ) in case they need it for reference (thou ppl hardly refer mine as i'm always doin so so only). nod.gif

here's what i usually includes in my screenies:
1. orthos/prime ofcoz
2. cpu-z tabs showin cpu setting, ram setting & mobo info (chipset, bios date & etc...)
3. hw monitor to show voltages (quite important info imo), temps & fan speed > can be replaced by ya mobo hw monitorin s/w
4. memset (for detailed alpha timings)

example here:
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Atta...=post&id=609397

yup, for me prime is d toughest test for amd chips, u can try Intel Burn Test but it sounds gay for me to run intel's stuffs on amd (i'm not discriminatin intel here tongue.gif )... smile.gif

p/s: don't forget to include d code along w/ ya screeny too. icon_rolleyes.gif

for dual core & above, better use hyper pi imo so that u don't need to set d affinity manually. smile.gif

i would prefer prime/orthos for stability test thou, sp is more on benchmarkin to me... nod.gif

Yup. SPI 32M does not guarantee stability.
Even use two copies of SPI on dual core, I personally think that it is not enough stressful to ensure stability as what bro ah_khoo meant. smile.gif

dual core @ > 3.0GHz should be sufficient for gamin. if u upgrade now u mite need to change mobo as well, not a wise choice if u have limited $$$ but if u got a deep pocket, i'd say now is d suitable time to play w/ amd quaddies. highest end phenoms are available as low as RM600, tonnes of sb750 boards available now @ affordable price. brows.gif

deneb will be available in another 2~3 months time last time i read, not so sure bout d exact availability date thou. smile.gif

get a 9850/9950 b.e chip to play, it can last u until d denebs become affordable. nod.gif
