from the wd web site looks like blue is low end stuff. Only got 16mb buffer max. And max size 750gb. Luckily never consider tis series. Green still can consider.

as for me, I gip them chance due to 5year waranty..since now no more 5year.. then using WD or seagate also doesn't matter, which ever cheaper per GB wins within 5-10% performance/power consumption of each other. (quality issues aside)

Naa. WD has their own WD Express RMA service. Just call 1800-88-1908 and they will provide door to door replacement for your WD HDD. They charge USD7.50 per drive for delivery charges.

Today, I bought Seagate Baracuda 7200.12 500 GB hard disk. I fully aware that Seagate 7200.11 plague issue...thanks to this thread and www. However, a quick visit to digital mall, I can't find any other hard disk except 7200.11, 7200.12, Western D Green and WD Blue (up to 160GB only...sigh).

500 GB 7200.12 cost me RM190 at All IT. Instead of the salesman claim that this hard disk got 3 years manufacturer warranty..I still insist to check it online at seagate warranty validator.

Thanks God, this hdd still got 5 years warranty to back it up. Hopefully, Seagate already found a solid solution to fix it 7200.11 probs.... well...hopefully.

Will post a benchmark result later.
