QUOTE(xelnamikaze @ Jan 16 2009, 01:08 PM) as long as its cache is the same .. then yes .. i might be wrong .. but what i know is Seagate is having a problem at the current moment .. so if you're wise, do what you need to do actually not just the cache n rotational speed.. it's the areal density also from large capacity drives, so those 1.5TBs (from 3.5inch) and 500GB (from 2.5inch) are mighty fast when transfering large files.. but only seagate 1.5TB makes them now so they are also "affected"

from the wd web site looks like blue is low end stuff. Only got 16mb buffer max. And max size 750gb. Luckily never consider tis series. Green still can consider.

QUOTE(xelnamikaze @ Feb 1 2009, 12:24 AM) haha .. maybe i should give Seagate another chance .. well everybody needs to give them another chance .. lets wait for 7200.12 then as for me, I gip them chance due to 5year waranty..since now no more 5year.. then using WD or seagate also doesn't matter, which ever cheaper per GB wins within 5-10% performance/power consumption of each other. (quality issues aside)

depends on the areal density of the platter and rpm
