Hmm... I just checked TomTom's website and it states maps are available for the following countries/region:-

• UK & Ireland
• Western Europe
• US & Canada
• Australia
• New Zealand

Have absolutely no idea how the others got their hands on TomTom Asia's map but I guess we'll just have to wait and keep our fingers crossed it'll be available for Asia or perhaps TomTom realised Asians are just too cheapskate to purchase something at that price and decided to forgo the market? *shrugs*

I'm just telling the truth after using Sygic while driving in KL.
The only time I reached my destination successfully was Sunway Pyramid and that's all.
I got no signal in the middle of KL city and I'm not kidding.

I am using Sygic once at Shah Alarm last month.. I want to go to Lot6 Persiaran Perusahaan, Sek23.. Sygic only has Jalan Perusahaan.. It ends up that i reach the destination by conventional way. Which is phone guide from my friend tongue.gif tongue.gif .... The problem with Sygic is that, we can't input the destination address rather it is limited by the "build in" database... Just like my case..

Not sure how is tomtom works.. Anyway, my iphone will be back only on month end from Singapore...Really miss it alot..
To me, iphone GPS is great but we really need a comprehensive map.. And ONLY malsingmaps (Garmin format) cover the most update & complete map at the moment..

IPhone GPS has a tiny antenna, if u want good signal u must ensure it has a clear view of the sky. Mount that IPhone on ur windscreen.

Sygic is not bad IMO. It's feature-loaded, routing is good, and map coverage is decent.

Wishing there will be an app that uses Garmin map or Openstreet, so Malsingmap or Malfreemap can be used. Roadee uses Openstreemap, but it's online and current Openstreemap Malaysian map only covers 10%. Better stick to Sygic's Teleatlas map with 50% coverage.

Fortunately u can still add POIs. If u Google around, u will find that u can easily add custom POIs into Sygic app.

I've managed to import most POIs from Malfreemap into my Sygic app, now happily having 100,000 POIs.

sygic's maps are pretty outdated, it didnt actually have the directions to my place as well, so i literally need to "fly" to my place.

i'm still waiting for tom tom to be official, hopefully the maps are better
