The problem here is that when a girl pawns a guy in online games, the guy would often try to soothe himself by telling himself (and other guys) that she must be male IRL.

im noob

not pro anymore. play warhammer now don really play dota ady since im not in a team. i notice once i stop dota for 3-5 days, i will instantly out of actual form, 5days-1week i will instantly become dam noob. haha... now new map new hero, din really try yet. lol..
btw i live in damansara, hmm but i don go cc anymore. just once in a blue moon go ftz with friends which might be 2-4 months 1 time.

btw comparing to those real pro, honestly even in my toppest form, im not match with them in anyway too. knowleage are good enuf, so guess skill problem ba la. even though u see i got team before, but it doesnt mean much though. last time my team also not hard core practise. lol. somemore train online at home. haha. so last time when i got team... got win got lose la, but lose more. that period when i got team also not my toppest form in dota life and 1-2 team mate kinda... noob that period. now they improve ady but some quit some in other team. but if u interested in joining tourney for fun can find me. dun wan stress myself also. just for fun. but with certain standard pls

nop. if i kena someone pwn and tat person tells me she is a girl, i will trust her. no harm, i wont die for trusting her even is a lie. but i will try to know her. hahaha... kinda like to know more females friend especially those pro 1. kinda rare to see. i know a female friend that can pwn quite a lot guys. team up with her few times, simply love her skill, a good team player... lawl~ but sometimes play with her when i become noob, dam paise sial. hahaha..

Nice to know that. Unfortunately, I've experienced that quite a lot -- not so much in DotA, not that good (skill declining also, play like once a week nowadays ), and besides I mainly only play with people whom I know IRL. However, in an old MMORPG that I played, I'll bet half of the people who knew me are still assuming that I'm male. Ah well, I suppose I should take it as a compliment. >_>

As I am bored now, though, I came up with the (brilliant?) idea of taking up icyfawkes' challenge. Let's all adjourn to garena someday, pm me if you want to set a time.

not addition, but some feed back.
- what dota brain storming u? =.=
- correction... "improve team work abilities in dota", coz playing dota doesnt improve ur other team work.
- reduce stress, oftenly a lot serious player will be superb stress for dota. maybe u havnt reach that stage yet.
- social activities pretty much depends on each individual. me and my friends once a while will hav gathering though especially when those penang dota friend come to kl. but that doesnt apply to everyone.
- the last 4 point are only apply on dota. u don learn to solve love problem through dota do u? u don learn to plan ur marriage thru dota do u? strategy only apply on dota, coz each game will hav diff strategy. wat dota strategy able to apply into badminton? visualization maybe. but facing too much pc ur eye will be dam tired.

LOL @ dota reducing stress.. it seems to be quite the opposite for some people that I know. Strangely enough, it DOES de-stress me, unless I'm playing with extreme lag or in draft games.

only easy pwning game no stress...
but there are few exception situation. such as fighting to ks with team mate. =X
draft game will stress... kena noob opponent lansi coz own team mate is worse noob will make me dam stress.

bf plays dota everyday... always quarrel bcoz of dota... in the end he tried to pull me into it. He force-taught me how to play.. now everyday sure will play with him in GG.. (better than left alone)

The guys in GG so rude. Always scold me with colourful words. Really inconsiderate.... sometimes feel so hurt when kena scold... juz becuz sometimes cant assist , press wrong skill.. Eventhough noob oso no need scold like tat kua?

Some player even provoke me.. come attack, then let me run to base.. then said "nice or not?" "nice or not (my name)" In the end kena killed by me.. wonder how he felt....

Yeah Erika, DotA is probably one of the unfriendliest games ever to new players, unless you're friends with everyone in the game, or at least everyone in your team. >_>

juz quit it, and tell ur bf quit it too, better to spend more precious time together than playing dota which u don't really wanted to play

i dont play at garena...and usually i dont play at home,the new ver is very complicated now...they have alot of recipe,so i stopped for quite a while already...but if possible play noob game would also be quite fun i dont mind getting pawned
erikachen,i used to face those kind of amature player before,ignore them,when you pawn them they say its luck,they pawn you they say its skill,i call that kinda mentality as losers...dont need to take their quotes seriously,coz its just a game
if i got pawned by a girl in battlenet?i will get her msn immediately!!! seriously,i havent been pawned by a girl in my DotA life
i used to play MMORPG like ragnarok online,maple story,cabal...currently playing CS:Source only
never start playing DotA at CC,you will be insulted to the highest limit!!!

this is true, to some extent, though i get bored when play too much too frequent.

Well...if you see at cc, usually those winning or pwning will be feeling fun and relaxed, but the one getting pwned would be cursing and blaming teammates for not helping la, running away la, stupid la, etc.

true as well, if you get to know and socialize with the players u play with, not just play, finish then go home.

i always see high school kids...swearing out loud while playing DotA,i support the game,but i really dont understand why we need to insult other player when you lose...its just a game and games are supposed to be entertaining

ya, in fact a lot people lansi but they are dam noob. no joke, a lot of them just lucky their team mate good or opponent dam noob. i always dam du lan to play with these people de. then i will lansi back. lol... if win back or pwn back. hahaha.
i met quite a lot times already... sometimes they lansi since before the game start. u know when count down 5 4 3 2 1 that time, we cant quit ma. they lansi us at that few sec. most of the time they will lansi before game start becoz they got all 5 friends on same team. but oftenly kena me pwned and i lansi them back sampai they become mass leaver, all 5 leave.

yea if i know got a girl in battlenet i will get her msn too. but seriously, i don think u can say "seriously,i havent been pawned by a girl in my DotA life". coz u wont know they are gurl or not. u cant see from nick. maybe most of the time u kena pwned are by gurl, u also wont know. coz they wont tell u "hey, im gurl and i pwn u. u sux man".

oh yea..battlenet the ping crazy high!!!there was once,my team all leave,i alone control 5,lolz!!!enemy team left 3,so i play bait...lucky that time im using blood seeker hahaha...they got stun the 1st time...i pawn all 3,sacrifice 1 hero(leaver) after that abit tricky...coz they know my trick stilll lose that match hahah...
but still hope could play with you guyz & girls someday!!! >.<

yeah... The team mates will scold you when you caused them to lose.. its just a game ma.. "Why so serious?" I started with all my guy friends and my bf's friends. Then when I got a bit better I played with my bf in GG. Then that's where got rude ppl everywhere...

Haha.... I enjoyed the game...Sometimes I even asked my bf to dota wan >.< juz that... dont like it when ppl (team mates or enemies) scold me or mock me. I take it as there are younger kids but still rasa inside...

you guys say never pawn'ed by a girl before.. but you dunno the opponent is girl oso mah. Haha.. Like all the guys I sometimes pawn'ed they oso dunno Even in GG got a lot of guys use Female avatar which cause confusion and ppl wont believe u're a girl even if you are I once played wif a team mate using a girl-like name. Then that person got "kao" by the opposing team... swtz

They play dota to pass time.
time passes very fast while playin dota.
At 1st i wasnt understandable enough but think twice would u rather have a bf that plays dota or go clubs everyday?
i tolerate, accept and sometime i even dota with him.
