personaly im dota player. been to tournament, team play etc... other than dota player, i used to be RO player, RYL2 player, wow player. etc etc. and yes im gamer. hard core? hmm... mayb, not as hard core as last time. working now. and actually not really playing dota much now. playing warhammer online now.

okays... here are some of my opinion as a gamer... which whether u like it or not, or agree with it or not... this is my point of view...


1st i would really love to point out what vey99 said...

personally i think this is very naive/childish thinking. what makes u think dota is for kids? what is the diff of GTA and dota? to me, both are game. u might say game play is diff yada yada yada... but til the end? they both are falls into "entertainment" catogery. it is just matter of u preffer GTA over dota so u say dota is for kid and GTA is not? both are for entertainment and for pleasure/happiness/kill time. at least some top rank dota player able earn money thru dota. win tourney get 60k? 100k? (depending on wat tourney and which country) what u get frm GTA? from the link u gave me, it shows me what mentality u hav when playing GTA.
very adult? very man? please i hope u do use ur brain before u type out any more constructive statement. it is very obvious TS taking dota as topic here is due to 2 reason, 1- most guy addicted to dota. 2- her bf addicted to dota. but the msg what she trying to deliver is why is guy addicted to game? i not only refering to dota. and who said guy who play dota will ignore their gf for some pansy computer game? maybe there are quite number of GTA player ignore their gf for these pansy computer games? i dono man. i don play GTA. though in deed some guy giler dota until neglact their gf. but how sure are u that none of the GTA player wont?

2nd- personally i think dota is addictive. yes. but strong will of self control can overcome it. and with good communication between couple can really helps. tolerant with each others. i dono bout others. so take me as example... yea, my gf do complain about me. mainly coz i always sleep late which not good for my health. not for neglact her, i nvr neglact her. but she also know i suka game giler 1. =.= so she sometimes complain a bit a bit here and there. then i also just try not to sleep too late for game. something like tat ba la. i dono how others couple situation.

3rd- not only guy are addicted to dota. some gurls also addicted to dota. sometimes i go ftz cyber cafe see see.. or play play... i always notice there are 2-3 gurls that dam familiar. coz they always go ftz also. and they can play from morning till night. =.=' power than me. lol. with their friends... whether bf or not i dono... also 1 gurl i know she dota giler also 1. even see her yell (not dam loud tat type) at team mate at ftz before. lol. used to be leader in dono wat dota team. @.@ i got 1 female friend which quite good skill in dota too. lol. always play with her. but this friend of mine not addicted 1 la.

personally i felt dota is just a game. just like an item. whether u take it or u leave it. for guys who addicted to dota sampai neglact their gf. i dono la... but personally i got gf and i play dota, now warhammer. me and my gf still doing fine. and i got quite some friend who got gf and main dota 1, they seems doing very fine too, whether their gf play dota or not.

so i would say dota may b addictive, but whether to get addicted or not is still on those players hand. cant really blame dota. if this world got no dota, maybe all guy will addicted to GTA which output the same result. i dono man. lol

around rm10-15 maybe. as for rm20-30.... i would say super rare. if everyday rm20-30, i think soon or later that guy will be dead inside cyber cafe just like how some korean died inside cyber cafe in korea.

who said all dota player always play at cc?? at least i always play at home, my friends are playing at home. come out meet once a while only we go cc.

u nvr see active dota player get straight As, neither do i. but i've seen TONES of NON dota player cant get straight As too. so wat makes u think dota is the major reason for them not to get good result?

who said people who play dota are those whom need attention?? personally talking about playing games, i would say it is each individual interest. just like some love to play badminton, some football, some basketball, and some pc games. if what u said is right, so those who play footbal/basketball/badminton all want attention??? all attention seeker? those super star beckham, owen, jordan, chong wei etc etc... those attention seeker as well?? u may say this is their career they earn money from it etc... so what makes u think dota dont hav? dota, star craft, warcraft3, all also got super star. those are their career too. a CS player from USA called K-sharp, he is earning around USD$30-40k per month, according to newspaper last year i think... his dad ask him stop CS, he told his dad "i stop CS i don get paid" lo. 4k.grubby from holland also earning big bulks for playing warcraft3. always travel here and there in whole world for competition and for holiday perhaps? but now i think grubby join mym ady. mayb mym bought him over, im not sure. so maybe should call mym.grubby or something. whatever... so wat makes u think E-sport are so much sucks compare to Sport??? they are equal...

most guys they play dota with gf running another pc beside them (either dota or online).
some gf will just watch their bf play without using any pc, but usually they are sitting though

huge number of hard care gamer are from college/uni student. why? coz they got the time to play compare to those working 1. but why they study in 1st place? hav u thought of that? so lets say the firgure u gave (which i don think so much in msia)... 100,000 dota player. in ur opinion... how many % of them really go think they wan to take dota as their future career??? i would say the most 5% like i said, just like sport. just that they don feel tired yet they love it so they keep continue it. simple as that. hmm... 5% = 5000 =.='' wtf? maybe 0.1% ba la. =.='''

not pro anymore. play warhammer now don really play dota ady since im not in a team. i notice once i stop dota for 3-5 days, i will instantly out of actual form, 5days-1week i will instantly become dam noob. haha... now new map new hero, din really try yet. lol..

- what dota brain storming u? =.=
- correction... "improve team work abilities in dota", coz playing dota doesnt improve ur other team work.
- reduce stress, oftenly a lot serious player will be superb stress for dota. maybe u havnt reach that stage yet.
- social activities pretty much depends on each individual. me and my friends once a while will hav gathering though especially when those penang dota friend come to kl. but that doesnt apply to everyone.
- the last 4 point are only apply on dota. u don learn to solve love problem through dota do u? u don learn to plan ur marriage thru dota do u? strategy only apply on dota, coz each game will hav diff strategy. wat dota strategy able to apply into badminton? visualization maybe. but facing too much pc ur eye will be dam tired.
