Either mobo bios or GC bios can flash as long as u have the correct step to make it. Btw, Klemann C did u problem happen often or just once awhile? When do u start to have get this strange behavior?

Usually mobo bios only allow upgrade but not downgrade. But flash with exact same version i have never try before. Afraid cannot give u a exact answer. But anyways, what had u done before all these happened?

But anyways, what had u done before all these happened? I guess flashing the same version of bios should be able to be done as long as you are flashing the correct bios for the mobo. We are not allow to downgrade bios? I have no idea about this.QUOTE(Klemann C @ Nov 26 2008, 12:54 AM) ic.....b4 this i was prompt to MSI official sites to check out whether does this mobo bios newer version.... I guess your system must be some hardware failure on it. Eliminate bios from mobo and GC,could HDD be another suspect of culprit?I remember last year my HDD failed and it gave me blank screen on it too after a few times of blue screen.since i doesn't have....so i nvr do anything on it..... |

Usually we are using the bios flashing utilities / tools to do upgrade right? If I'm not mistaken the utilities / tools are not allow bios downgrading. That where my assumption come from. But flash back with the same version, that i ain't sure about it as never try before. Usually only upgrade and never downgrade before. @Klemann C Whats the last time u did before ur system comes out with this weird condition? This post has been edited by fylon: Nov 26 2008, 09:23 AM |

AFAIK, the tools will perform certain type of check sum of the bios on the mobo and the one that ur going to flash with. If the bios revision of the one that ur going to flash into the mobo is lower then the one on mobo CMOS, usually user will unable to flash it. And also, not all new bios are working fine. There are some issues where new bios are causing problems and make user downgrade back to older revision. This post has been edited by fylon: Nov 26 2008, 10:05 AM |
