if i wanted 2 set all ultra high, i wouldnt be doing so on my s478 system

i know my system has a limit , pushing that limit issnt what i like especially in RTS / FPS
i prefer just decent graphics, with constant FPS, even if it requires me to play at 1024

btw for Undercover, i would get that on my XBOX, better with a controller

so anyone keen on my card???

if sending via post frm s'pore, if i remember correctly, the package will reach Post office in KL, where they'll get u to go and collect. there, they'll get u to open up and see what to tax u....

the interesting thing is i actually want to know whether it will fair off better how much compared to my x800

of course, the SM3.0 will be helpful for a few games..

does it bottleneck ? (what proc / mem ) u using?

at first paired with a P4 3.0E GHz oc to 3.2GHz...

results are pretty okay...

but later when the Pressy spoilt, threw a P4 2.4B GHz into the rig...

can tell the CPU is bottleneck... 3D Mark Score dropped by quite a margin...

i recommend a 3GHz CPU to go with it...

I think not much diff with x800 and x1950gt right beside the SM revision, both card are 256bit, just x1950gt will have better shader operation and high vram bandwidth.

@fylon,i think the card is very much better than X800. At least 20-25% more better than that. Another important factor is also CPU,X1950GT won't perform with slow CPU.We could ask Kah Loon regarding this card in gaming,long time didn't see him log in here already.

definetely CPU is the main concern... the card was released during the days of Pentium D/Athlon64 x2 afterall...

Is there a difference in bottleneck when a CPU is overclocked... like if i go above 3GHz

if really the CPU is the bottleneck, that means the higher u oc the CPU, the more fps u'll see...

Yup,the card gains when you have faster speed of CPU.

Anyone has try NFS Undercover on P4 platform? I've tried already and the result is movie on that game cannot play..its like broken picture but when game play is ok. Why ya?

Edmin tried the game before. Don't think he got problem with viewing the movies instead of the game is hardware demanding. Perhaps the installer you used is not the complete version / it is corrupted?
