QUOTE(FunkyRider @ Oct 31 2008, 12:03 PM) I'm new here! First post! Added you in the list.Welcome to old school club.I have two systems with 478/479 sockets, both of them are more or less strange (un-mainstream if you would like to call them that way...) 1. Pentium 4 3.0C Gallatin, MSI 945GCM478, 512x2 Corsair 8000UL DDR2-1000 (D9 Fatboy), ST 320GB 7200.10 SATA, ASUS EAX1600XT Silent 2. Celeron-M 340 @ 2.33GHz, ASUS P4P800-E + CT-479, 512x2 Infineon CT-5 DDR-400, ST 160GB 7200.7 SATA, Gigabyte Radeon 9550 I will try to OC the 3.0C system as the CPU is a 30-capper and those DDR-2 1000 rams have loads of potential. However the motherboard with 945GC chipset is not a good overclocker, especially there is no option for voltages :-( QUOTE(pengster @ Oct 31 2008, 02:59 PM) My friend who bought the game during the launch is currently playing it using a ATI 9550 ATI9550 is a crap, can't even compete with 9600XT is doesn't o/c.Whoa. Phew.. Take down a half day time for rearrange the cable management and rigs cleaning.
Btw guys, did some benchies with SATA drive with IDE mode and AHCI. Result is like IDE mode, the SATA HDD seems like more responsive where in AHCI it werent that responsive. And also, for file transfer the speed on AHCI is seems faster then IDE.. Seems like both mode has their own pro and cons. |

Not really.. Pro and cons.. If u multi task quite often, AHCI will be the best choice as the HDD has better reading/writing sequence. Haha.. Switch back mine to AHCI now.
