identical in terms of speed?

well, in terms of brand i got a apacer lah, kingston, qimonda and another kingston, lol

i gather my ram speed timings from CPUZ leh, dunno how far can be trusted

just upped my PCI/AGP bus a little, running 36/72Mhz. the rest all stock. got improvements in my 3D stuff, not bad...

beta bios give inconsistent results during oc. verified by ctiaw results, mem scores are lower, but sometimes after reboot, higher. now flashed to 1019 official bios, the readings are consistent already. running FSB @212 (3.18Ghz) now, best stable spot I could get. Going any higher than that would give instability results. RAM @ 2.5-3-3-7-8, PAT partially enabled, Turbo mode. Vcore @ 1.575, AGP 1.8V, RAM 1.85V.

This NAS no doubt i use, but @ office, lolx. torrent downloads tried for a week, the speed is ok, normal. No full speed due to QoS on the device, it needs to allocate bandwidth for other users too. Btw, i m not using any magic, but my torrent client able to maximise my downloads, hoho.

i have encountered such a case, let me share with everyone here:

The external HDD was working fine for 4 years+, never powered off until recently. After powered off for moving it to some other place, it was turned on but the HDD was not being detected in Windows. Indicator lights were on, but HDD was not spinning. Removed the HDD from the casing and plugged directly onto mobo, luckily it works. Suspected faulty casing board, but after checking it was fine. Drilled down to the power adapter, but was extremely skeptical because it did powered the LED indicators, right? Since warranty's over, so WTF, be adventurous and open the adapter.

BaM! Leaked capacitors! The reason why it was working for 4 years+ even though capacitors leaked/blown, is because I never powered down. The capacitors are functioning as a charge up for the circuits. So if you never turn it off, it will still work because it never needs to 'power up'. Replaced the leaked caps and it was working nicely again. 

yes... configured as front and rear. i tell u man, movies are great, boom boom like mini cineplex, lolx... but i also connected to my hi-fi set too. 

im using the sb live liao coz windows xp had built in drivers for that

it didnt have build in drivers for my onboard ! LOL wtf

so now im using 4 speakers but 2.1 sound from the sb live

i will try OC till 3.2 first then 3.4 next

what vRAM? voltage? i think mine is 1.5V default loh, i saw in the bios last night

haha..... like you said, the transfer speed is quite noticeable fast for me. busy backup as much as i can from my faulty hdd last night.

i direct play left for dead in it no sweat at all. butter smooth. haha..... playing 720hd movies no prob at all..... just 1080hd is lagging due to my cpu even with coreavc. now really addicted to hd quality. preferred 720hd movies that suit best for my 19" lcd and oldie P4.

i will try 2 OC tonight, im running prime95 the whole day to test

currently stock temp at 55C load at 70C

not bad improvement considering previous crappy temperatures

our system nowadays play 720P is ok , 1080 is abit over kill d

1080 can try disabling deblocking option in coreavc, sure helps a lot.

as u know bro, acs 45.1 is lacking in the treble department. i tuned the xfi to suit acs 45.1 sound properties. and i tell u, WOW, treble now is BEAUTIFUL frm the acs 45.1 

THX bass boost, equaliser & crystalizer are utilised for the sound tuning...hehehe...
