Advertlets get condemned like nobody business la. sure, i earned from them. sure, they gave me a lot more $$$ before.

the article is supposed to give the most detailed comparison among them, which i think it is la. I've not seen any comparison like that, and mostly is review about either of them or complaints.
another purpose of the article is for both companies to see from public view, and also allow the public to comment. thus both companies can improve to serve the blogger community better. which is why i made the icon, i hope more people can share. voice their opinion there and everyone also gain. from what i saw, Nuffnang was good. they actually saw the article and came to explain and all. Advertlets, donno......... no response from their reps so far. either they don't know about it or they've got nothing to say already. look at how NN staff took effort to write such lengthy reply. I'm actually impressed that they took time to PR. Advertlets side, so far it's just cricket noise. nothing else. i think that alone shows a lot about the company. |

Nuffnang is way better than Advertlets, in terms of payment, bloggers relationship and blah3. Nuffnang indeed did well and makes the bloggers feel treasured. That's why I stick to Nuffnang!

basically its all about the keywords i think. esp in your title. instead of writing "what i did today" write something more specific such as "my trip to KLCC and Zouk" for example
that way, you could probably get more hits. Summore, u hv to get something that will show u what kind of search queries are linked to you blog. I wrote about my outing with frens to skybar and realized that many ppl came to that post looking for directions to skybar, so I think I hv to write a post about directions there one of these days |

haha i got time to look thru all my friends blog.. but the thing is.. i do not want to read their blog... nowadays bloggers(the budak budak secondary school bloggers) oni know how to do 1 thing... tags....some of them create blog for personal life stuff... turn into a tag blog... i just want to kill those people that create the tags and also those ppl that overdo it..... u do 1 or 2 tags ok la.... but 10++20++ in a role? that's too much right??? so i'm better off reading other more informative blogs

right now, i've got both advertlets and nuffnang ads on my blog, i have a few ringgit in advertlets account, so what i was wondering was whether i should take out my advertlet ads and just use nuffnang? I would suggest you to take down Advertlets..because there is too many bad comments about them that they don't pay.. I had taken down it and served Nuffnang for few months d..I have Rm7 in Advertlets..donate to Advertlets la then...
Just stay with Nuffnang...if your blog is good..I'm sure you will get something! =) |

i think once other investors realize how lucrative the blog advertising industry is, there is bound to be a lot more companies coming into the market, so i guess its up to the two of these companies, "pioneers" you could call them to set the benchmark or be over taken by better run companies.
From the opinions that i've gathered here, it looks like its definitely going to be advertlets. i think for now, im gonna stick to the both of them and see how well they perform. i spoke to that advertlets blogger of the month, amanda choe, and she tells me she gets in and around 600 a month, is that believable? |

If you stay long enough with Nuffnang soon it'll pay out neatly.
The way to earn big bucks from Nuffnang is write advertorials. Those clients are pretty generous, a single post can pay RM 350-500, depends the company la. My highest record is RM 892, from Samsung WCG ads. If you're a Glitterati member, the chances of you being chosen to write up is higher. P/S: Can they change the "Glitterati" to some other word? I find it difficult to write & pronounce it lol. |

Those bloggers close to Nuffnang will have more chances to write for 'em. Just take a look at Shaolin Tiger, KYspeaks those blogs.
Seems like they write exclusively for certain ads that we normal members (even "gila roti" ) didn't got the offer.So if you may, you can join more Nuffnang events, got to know a few of them more, and soon they'll be giving you chance to write up. P/S: I've yet to attend a single Nuffnang event so far, either it clashed with my time or not interested in it. |

My payment dated 20 Sept is unpaid. I'll wait til next week see whether they'll pay or not, sometimes they only pay during the first week of the month regardless of when you request the payment.

Chosen Nuffnangers meant Gliteratti members.
You can check it under metered campaign, under Type. You can also set the Ads Preference in the Add Blog tab. Actually I also not sure how it works out, how to determine what kind of ads they'll put up.... As long as it's paying out I'm cool with it. |

Not sure bout charity ads, it sounds like it wont bring any income to the blog as after all, it's charity!
I think it has to do with the Gliteratti status la, I was quite surprise they approach me at first.... Adsense and Nuffnang both works well together. You still can maintain Gliteratti if you put Adsense along. I used to tried Adverlets before Nuffnang, but last time Adverlets made a serious domain error, making all the blogs running Adverlets all redirected to the domain parking site. It has something to do with the Adverlets codes put in the blog. After this happened I took down the Advertlets as I cannot afford for another blunder. Besides, the earnings stay the same for months. Sometime after that Nuffnang introduced Gliteratti, a tactic to attract more bloggers join them and a way to deter people from Advertlets. This happened in 2007 if not mistaken. |

once the metered campaign hit the target ( The traffic that the advertiser wan to buy), then they will pay you and your earning will mix together with your current earning.
The money stuck there, means you have no traffic that day or the ads din show up that day. =) |

I hope it'll up again soon. They rarely put the site down without a notice.
Well I guess it'll be good if they have a mirror blog like Blogger's status.blogger.com. At least we got to know what's happening of their main site is down for no reason. |

the earnings I got is not accumulated in the month August alone, but over the course of 2-3 months, then cashed out in August. And they are all purely from CPM/CPC ads, no advertorial. |

Food Buzz, if not mistaken, has issue with Nuffnang ads.

ah well it depends on the advertiser as well. a KFC campaign earned me over RM100, but the same can't be said for others. some only net me less than RM10 for the same traffic volume

just back from Madagascar2 screening by nuffnang, it's a nice movie.
but some bad experience happened. I was among 1st few of the ppl in queue and was there since 7.15pm, this time they were early and waiting there not like the last time, there's some improvement but just that they do not handle their publisher professionally? shouldn't that be 1st come 1st served and those who came 1st should get the better place? in this case it's not and I was given two tickets which is separated in two rows, and when I asked about that they just didn't handle properly and I was told that I can queue again to change the tickets for other place? I think they should put themselves on other ppl shoe so that you will know exactly how you feel, if that's the case why we need to wait there and queue since 7.15pm? I feel that they should assign all the seats so that those come first should get a better seats compared to those came late. right? but i did not argue with them coz i know there's no point and don't want to affect my mood for such happy movie. anyway no offenses and just want to voice out myself so it will be better next and coming events perhaps? nice movie! thanks. |

otherwise, if free seating to given out, for sure there'll confusions coz there'll be lots of empty seats left in the middle.. and the reason to occupy all of the upper seating even for the trouble to separate it is bcoz nuffnang is trying to give its viewers good seats as in nice views.. if you have noticed it, there front few rows were all empty |

I've yet to attend a Nuffnang event, so I hope my experience wouldn't be so bad.
saimatkong, if you felt that their arrangement is not good enough, you're free to inform them about this. by this you're actually helping them to do a better job next time. Sometimes jobs like these people would often overlooked the details which may pissed off some ppl. if i were to bring a partner to the movie, I'd be disappointed as well. |

I was among 1st few of the ppl in queue and was there since 7.15pm, this time they were early and waiting there not like the last time, there's some improvement but just that they do not handle their publisher professionally? shouldn't that be 1st come 1st served and those who came 1st should get the better place? in this case it's not and I was given two tickets which is separated in two rows, and when I asked about that they just didn't handle properly and I was told that I can queue again to change the tickets for other place? I think they should put themselves on other ppl shoe so that you will know exactly how you feel, if that's the case why we need to wait there and queue since 7.15pm? I feel that they should assign all the seats so that those come first should get a better seats compared to those came late. right? but i did not argue with them coz i know there's no point and don't want to affect my mood for such happy movie. anyway no offenses and just want to voice out myself so it will be better next and coming events perhaps? nice movie! thanks. I can somehow understands the busyness of those Nuffnang staffs.
They're still a small company, lack of manpower. So they've to monitor all the website stats and then come out to deal with the event stuffs, not easy I suppose. |

Hahah so that's why they moved to a bigger office few months ago. They complain too much empty spaces but they know that in few years time it'll be filled up.

adsense for normal blog... maybe around 2 years plus.... that's around 30 months... and get around RM350
nuffnang i 4 months RM60..... so do the calculation urself for adverlets i dunno |

Placement of the ads is important. I see drastic increase after I put the ads up to a more visible part.
There's the Adsense Optimisation report in the Adsense dashboard, you can refer there to see how to improve it. |

That's why I prefer CPM, is like renting your site for the ads with a fixed income.
If you do well, nxt time better ads (pay higher) will be putted on your site. But this is just a speculation as I've seen same company pay very much different in 2 ads.... |

erm, CPM is not equal to fix income. CPM is base on traffics (impression to be exact). if something happen and ur site down for a month, ur CPM income is gonna be 0 also. unlike renting ad space, which is fix rate for a period of time but it also means that you have to make sure ur site must be always up no matter what happen. There are a few pro n cons.
even it is CPM, ur advertiser might have a caps for the maximum he can pay u also. if ur traffic increase 10x, then...sad lor, u will only get the maximum price he can offer u. but u can choose to take down his banner also la. about renting ad space, actually u can do it with some promotion: example: 1 month = rm50 3 month = rm120 (some discount will make ur advertiser happy to get u again) if u lucky than u can enjoy ur ads buyer for 3 month liao I also curi curi learn this thing from my current company (advertising & internet marketing) since i'm one of the designer there. info above might be wrong also, as i said, i just listen and try to know what they talking above |

For some reason I felt that Adsense works better if most of the visitors are from other countries like US or UK.
Just my guess, coz majority of my visitors came from these 2 countries. Malaysian ranked 3rd. |
