Monster car with original Bremboo disc. If not mistaken, it's a customized BK with either a Mugen RR concept or Type RBodykit |

Regarding a Honda City '07 model, stock suspension. Is it hard or soft? My college have a spot where there is 2 continuous bump TOGETHER. so the car tend to bounce a lot while crossing. So I was wondering if the stock suspension is soft/hard?
Soft = shake more? Hard = shake less? |

@wadever:
Those spots on the bumper... my car had almost the same thing! Same bumper place.. but mine had many more spots, very obvious... I think it's tar or something, washed off but still retains the dark spot. Got it sprayed for RM90 (corner only). I think your car colour is in your service booklet as well... anyway if you go to spray workshop, they'll know what colour it is. Added on November 3, 2009, 11:49 amI have this problem where I can hear a tak-tak-tak-tak sound when I turn the steering left. Turning right has no sound. SC says this is normal. I never had this sound last time. Anybody experienced it? BTW, how much is a new compressor belt + pulley (include installation)? This post has been edited by Dannyl: Nov 3 2009, 11:49 AM |

Sorry to hijack this thread but I hope someone can share a little on oil change.
I recently bought a 2006 City VTEC with 14000km on the clock. According to the Honda manual, the oil change is to be done every 5000km. I find this interval very short, as even Proton cars come with a 10000km service interval. I checked through the forum, and some people recommended using semi-syn oil and stretch up to 8000km. Is this advisable? There are also talks on changing the CVT (gearbox?) oil every 20000km. Can someone elaborate more on this? If this has been discussed before, I would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction. |

QUOTE(julnoel @ Nov 4 2009, 12:19 AM) The SC service guy told me that the gearbox oil should be changed every 5k ._. i think you mean the engine oil. the gearbox oil change is for every 20k. that gearbox oil change cost around RM350. if that's the case you can easily be charged RM500 plus for your regular maintenance at the SC.But then again, I guess it depends on your driving style as well. if you're easy going and relaxed opposed to if you push really hard or somethin btw julnoel, i found few posts on motortrader and teamcity forums - the remote spare parts u can get cheaper at cobra sc. one forumer claimed he bought only the rubber stick for 1RM/pc.. dunno if it's true. but no harm to check it out. got 1 in kepong also. http://www.cobra.com.my/iframe_dealer_contact.html Green Cool Tints & Security Sdn Bhd (Kepong Branch) 35, Jalan Ambong, Kepong Baru, 52100 Kuala Lumpur. Tel / Fax : 03 - 6250 9638 i always wonder the use of mineral oil, semi-syn and full syn oil. i read somewhere that these oil grades can extend to longer service intervals, 5k, 8k and 10k respectively. but it's the oil filter that cannot withstand more than 5k. if that's true - are there alternatives to get better oil filter to match the oil grade? any thoughts on that, guys? Just change the oil filter every 8000km, top up some oil and you're good to go. My colleague's Fiat Panda has a 20,000km service interval and he uses only semi-syn oil. Not practical ler, if must change oil every 5000km |
