Hi can anyone tell me how much a full tank city can go? I have been told by the agent that City can go up until 700km .... Is hard to believe

To achieve 700km, you would need to do about 18km/l until left a few litres of fuel. Certainly achievable on long-distance highways, but I bet he didn't tell you that biggrin.gif

Hi everyone, my City Idsi 4G is nearing the 80,000 km mark soon. Any ideas on how to minimise the service cost? I heard that it would be about RM600 sweat.gif . Really need your help guys. Thanks a lot.

According to the Honda website...
VTEC 80k km service is RM656.25. IDSI is RM736.30. Must be becos of the extra spark plugs.

However, 100k km service for VTEC is RM803.40 versus IDSI's RM391.35. I wonder why?

Which SC u guys go to that can bargain the price? The one I visit is like fixed price... damn these blood suckers...

Just now I sent my car for 80k km service, asked them to check some kr kr kr sound in the engine. The service guy said maybe the tensioner belt needed replacement, approximately costs RM300+ (not definite yet, they'll call me back). Is that the normal price for the belt at SC?

Guys, my car warranty will be ending soon as my ownership is almost 3 years. Anything special to check so I can claim warranty before I start servicing my car at outside workshops?

Thanks a lot.

@wadever:
Those spots on the bumper... my car had almost the same thing! Same bumper place.. but mine had many more spots, very obvious... I think it's tar or something, washed off but still retains the dark spot. Got it sprayed for RM90 (corner only). I think your car colour is in your service booklet as well... anyway if you go to spray workshop, they'll know what colour it is.

Added on November 3, 2009, 11:49 amI have this problem where I can hear a tak-tak-tak-tak sound when I turn the steering left. Turning right has no sound. SC says this is normal. I never had this sound last time. Anybody experienced it?

BTW, how much is a new compressor belt + pulley (include installation)?

is the anyhow any secondhand honda city 2009 available?

if yes, whats the market price?

If you're taking a large sum of loan, it's better to get a new car as the 2nd-hand car loan interest will already be more than the drop in price.

Any workshop to recommend for servicing 06 IDSI? The regular one I go to at Kota Damansara lately not so nice... staff all changed... now new staff everytime open the bonnet will ask me want to change this change that or not... if don't want to change, then give me boh-song face. Changed brake pads also didn't take it out to test.

The other day I went to outside service, the shop said my City front left arm is cracked. He quote me RM290 for a new arm. What would happen if I keep driving with the cracked arm? He told me have noise and tyre will be off-aligned. True?
