I believe if you installed an aftermarket car alarm that 'failed' to work properly, you should go back to the shop which you bought and get them to check.

Afterall, these devices have warranty. So maybe it's spoiled or not properly configured.

You mean the CVTF gear oil?
RM285 including labour??  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
TOTAL RIP OFF..

Shop near my place (PJ) selling for RM160 - RM190 including labour (can't remember the exact price.. )
heck, even that I feel expensive .. bcoz I've bought one before and I remember it being cheaper.. but can't remember from where bought already.. laugh.gif

Unless.. you know.. they wanted to 'flush' it out with 2 bottles of CVTF, then you're actually paying for 2 bottles not 1

About the CVT gear oil, mine approx. 140 + 20 labour cost ==> 160 only... RM285 really kena chopped d.

Hi,

Any sifu here please help, my Honda City I-DSI Y2003 gave me the 1st hiccup after all these years cry.gif

The reverse sensor's buzzer stop making beep suddenly, totally dead & not intermittent, my questions are:

1. Is it sensor or buzzer kaput?
2. Where is the buzzer located? inside the dashboard? how to disassemble it for replacement?
3. If sensor kaput, how to remove it for replacement.

Thanks. notworthy.gif

Thanks, but my buzzer just came back working last week by it's own, totally alive & not intermittent, weird huh! doh.gif

Just found out the buzzer is located inside the small square grill below the left side of dashboard & steering, question is how to access it, looks like big job to open the grill panel. sweat.gif

Similar thing happened to me..

Sometimes my AC light will not turn on, and there's one occasion where I thought my gearbox is gone for sure but after several days (lucky I was busy) before sending it over to workshop, everything works OK again.

Some told me to check my ECU, but I'll just leave em alone.. as long as it's working back again, there's no reason for me to bother it so much.

Just make sure you service the car well and you will be fine.

this morning, i checked my mom's city vtec 2007, (the previous version before the current one, one of the last facelifts), i saw the engine bay was so dirty, i however noticed that the bottom of the engine bay are empty as i can see the floor below.

aren't city equipped with the plastic bottom engine cover? i suspect the SC didnt put it back and so the engine bay got so dirty..

can anyone verify me wether the honda city of this type are equipped with the said cover. thanks

I have 2 issue with my City 2011 - lower spec.
1) Spring is very hard, keep bouncing/jumping on the road.
2) When speeding on highway or making turn on high speed, the car felt like want to fly away, too light / feel like floating.
Do you have this issue? How to solve?

Should be end of 2013 or early 2014. Coz Honda change new model every 5 years. This Honda City was launched Dec 2008 and start selling 2009.

Hey guys... need some advice from you.

I sent my City iDSI 2007 for 160K service today and they found out that my aircon compressor pump is "dying". In the mornings when I cold start my car, there'll be squeaky sound and initially I suspected it could be some belt problem. However to my surprise it has something to do with compressor.

Does anyone has any experience on this before? I think I'm gonna get a second opinion on this. I do not want to fork out RM4000+ (the price Honda SC quoted me) and in the end the problem ain't fixed.. Any recommended aircon shops with good experience on Honda cars?

Most likely is CVT problem, better go for service check for quick fix before it's conk out because new CVT unit is damn expensive if need replacement. sweat.gif

Honda city is indeed very dissapointedly, floaty at highway.

What spec is your car?

1. Modulo bodykit + 205 wide tyres is already enough to reduce or minimize the "float" feel at big highway.

2. Install Ultra racing anti roll bar to reduce the bodyroll when turning.

3. If you still want better handling, lower your car using Eibach pro-kit smile.gif
