sorry .. but i just into this centipedes area. And i just read from the website given by rafiqos for my research, which also my first site for pedes. Noob question, any recommended sp. for beginner? I do not have any centipedes care by me before. Give me some sp. and i will go further more research into them. Thanks.

Cormocephalus sp. aren't that bad for starters. They are rather shy, not as bold and in your face like Scolopendra subspinipes.

hehe. i read from page 1 till end of the pages. wow, they can become pet oh? can they recognize their owners?

and im surprise too. They eat larger animals owh.. i tot they are vegetarian or eat very very small insect.. but then they can eat frog n mouse hor. can they eat lizards, beetle, caterpillar? but then they lost to ants. another discovery for me

btw, Life span how long eh?

sorry if i ask silly questions. First time for me . but im not a fan of insects (no offense k. i even scare of worms!) lol.. . i remember see a huge one in green color, length like 3/4 of A4 paper, thick and fat at the drain. also shock me cos its so big and greeennnnn..(more to pale green). i think me and pede both ran away cos scare of each other. lol.

Their lifespan are up to 5years
Actually u can juz feed them with cricket or mealworms...
They take boiled meat and fruits too but of cause it shldnt be their main diet

Breed? Nt easy bro, determining their sex also can give u a harsh time

u all handle them using pengepit?

We cant really lift them up using the pengepit...
Usually for small 1 i juz lift them up with substrate with a spoon
Big 1 i push it into a vial/cup/anything with something long

i attract it with wooden chopstick and pick it up as its legs are cling on the stick.

pick it up by compress pressure on certain segment would not help but to stress it.
