Added on September 29, 2008, 3:04 pmr u sure about that? bcoz, when animal was breed (breed in captivity) outside their real habitat; they tend to lose their instinct n in some cases, they can't even recognize their own nature enemy (predator).

i have seen many hamsters fight to death / bitten up in pet shops
the staff din even clean it up.

kesian ur hamster. dapat batang kangkung jer. daun tak dapat..

U said syrian hamster cant put in a same cage..
u said it will fight with each other till death........
but my hamster looks healthy everyday....
they play with each other .....so cute

poor hamsters, maybe we should put that seller into lion cage..let them feel how hard is to fight for their life . i have two Syrian in one big cage n never fight until now. i gave them perfume sand bath (Alex) so that they will have the same smell. same smell= PEACE. i learnt this tips in a books that i read. i hope it will work for a longer time.

How can u 10000% sure they are nt stress?
Research and study clearly stated tat they are SOLITARY
If u dun believe me, 1day when ur hammy pass away (touch wood), u see if the tail are wet o nt
If wet, mean they gt wet tail decease and its due2 the stress
U ll see soon, i'd been keeping syrian together more than 9years, each 1 tat died have wet tail
(Last time i dunno syrian are solitary, so..... yeah, im a idiot)

i give them corn edi...they eat abit niah....should i take out to remaining?

We are all here to learn. Syrians are found solitary by research. People do not give statements without any proof. Ryo gave you advice that Syrians should not be housed together as his Syrians suffered from wet tail disease by doing so. It's true that we can't actually know whether they're stress or not. It's up to you anyway, we are just giving you advice to prevent any death of your hamsters.

Yeah, remove the unfinished ones. If they hoard remove it the next day anyway. If eat finish, good lor.

Most veggies that you can eat they also can eat. Most ar, not all.

NO TOMATO NO POTATO NO CHOCOLATE NO CITRUS NO HOT STUFF

Ok that soudned silly. Check the front page for a list of veggies they can eat.

Kangkung, choy sam, spinach, sawi, long beans, tofu...too many to list la. go and check

how about carrot? i saw some of us feeding carrot...?
