Apples are fine. Having fresh food is good for the health of hamsters. He's with you 8 months? That means he's older. It might be something else also la...

But really, try not to be too sad. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to be sad for him.

aihz.. now his "bro" is like missing him... search the cage inside out for fei chai...
fei chai is always his mattress when they sleep....

now i think i can see in his eyes, that he is lost and sad

dunno how to make him feel relaxed...
i sked he stressed out only now

my pudding's leg seem better abit~ but he still walking with 3 legs
i think after few more days he will fully recover

So sorry to hear about your hamster...sometimes sudden death happens

kcng, I think you should get a new companion for your other robo. A few of my robos became stressed when their partners died that they stopped eating (well, greatly reduce appetites) and hardly any activity. A companion will do your robo some good.

Yeah, I got only 1 robo. After being an adult (1 yr +) she start reduce all activity & appetite as well. Mayb caused by lonely... not like baby tt time, so energy.

I saw my bro's robo, when he separate w/ his wife abt 1 mth, bcome slim down & no mood at all... bt putting 2gether again, he acting normal again.

I guess them really need a company

I got brought a jag of dog kibble cookies 4 her, she super love it~
Jst not sure izzit enuf 4 my hamster 2 trim down the teeth or not...

Then I am sure you are not talking about dog kibbles. Kibbles are the dogs main meal.. impossible only 6 biji in 1 packet XD Are you talking about the dog chew toy? Something white/brown in colour, and oftenly in bone shape? Those are call rawhides

Uncooked rice, better not.

As for gnawing you can try a mineral stone, rawhide bone, applewood sticks, or a wheat-geletine block. If want to supply dog kibbles please don't get super chapalang brand because donno what they put inside.

Besides people give kibbles mostly for protein. They usually have a saperate chewtoy.

If some of our muslim friends are not feeling comfortable feeding dog kibbles, cat kibbles also not bad In fact, they are higher in protein comparing dogs kibble. But I don't know if they do come in sample packs too, so you can get one pack and it last you for months per hammy Please don't get the cheap brand off the supermarket shelf. Get a good brand

I have put in a rawhide for my xiaobai, she don't wanna chew She still love the habitrail metal bar.. but now I have moved her into a tank.. now she got nothing to bite, I wonder what she will bite
